1st - So "minimal government" Texas gave a private company a huge package. That's a shocker....
The track where the Veyron (and the McLaren f1) has a 5.4 mile straight. I don't see the Veyron being able to max out at the Kennedy Space Center runway or the track you mentioned.
Also, CAFE regulations encourage the proliferation of small CUVs and such over wagons. If they were lumped in with the cars on which they were based I think we'd have many more Wagon options.
If only they made vehicles that had sliding doors, plenty of room and an entry height similar to a cross-over. Oh they do, it's called a minivan!
Higher driving position? So you mean... short women?
No rust issues in my current location for any car (FL) Having said that I think I would still rather deal with some of the wheel arch rust issues people report instead of VW gremlins.
Well then I guess you could always get the Honda?
No has manual. The new 200 may be a slam dunk, though. Time will tell on that front.
Even with comparable equipment? I haven't priced the latest model so I can't say but the pricing I have seen advertised locally sounds competitive.
Nope. No manual offered so I wouldn't look at it. Also drove the previous generation (and most generations prior to that.) Nothing engaging going on.
I think the Mazda6 is the best mid-sizer, at least from a Jalop standpoint. I suppose if you want to be removed from the driving experience as much as possible you may want a Camry. I own a 2009 6 and if I was going to replace it with the same type of car I would look at the 6, Accord and Fusion (and that's it.)
They sound like a Vitamix filled with ball bearings.
I would like if they put out a CSL version. I don't even care if they charge more for it but something stripped down. Heavily bolstered manual seats, no moonroof, backseat delete etc. It seems 99.9% of M drivers are driving it for the badge. It would be nice for the jalops to be thrown a bone.
You should cross-reference a Ford Escort LX-E or Tracer LTS of mid-90's vintage.
Absolutely. I think the Caddy STS-V would fall in that category as well.
I did this when I bought my 2003 Infiniti M45 (in 2005) Paid $26k which is probably a little more than 1/2 of what it sold for new. Was still under factory warranty, 1 owner off-lease. You still have the high maintenance costs but buying a lightly-used luxury vehicle is way cheaper than new.
I had a Y34 M45 for a little while. It got compliments every where I took it but suffered from terrible parts availability. They didn't sell that well so they were/are an amazing deal used.
BMW SUVs don't have a transfer case.
Are there gold bars in the trunk? I like the e30 as much as the next guy but for a 318 with over 400k on it? I mean that doesn't look like they stuffed an S14 in there
