There is an engineering reason behind this. I forget where I read it but something about how if the exhaust exit was actually shaped like this (or any of the other cars that have funky exhaust cutouts) it would cause turbulence in the exhaust and would reduce flow or some such.
The aftermarket for the KA is getting better out of sheer necessity, I won't disagree with that. Still polishing a turd though. It is a shame they didn't make the SR20DE the base engine and the SR20DET the engine in the SE when they sold the car in the US.
It's a viable alternative when the IMS bearing goes south on your 996...
Not to mention the K24 is a boat anchor.
So the moral of the story is winter/snow tires?
CVTs are boring, sure but they are a better solution than a conventional automatic, if you want to drive a slushbox. Personally I like my row-your-own but I understand that people want to be mindless drones with their head in their phone and requiring two hands to drive is just overwhelming.
Yup. It appears that this new truck may suffer the same fate.
No regular cab option? Well I guess they don't want any kind of fleet or commercial sales.

Automatic wipes are pretty awesome if you live someplace where it rains. I wouldn't pay extra for them but I've driven my mother's 530i which has them and in rain they are awesome, especially dealing with drizzle and mist from other vehicles.
Very useful in fog and snow. Also useful if people tailgate you at night. Had them on my Volvo 850 and I wish more cars in the US had them.
Could have done without the music. Just place the mic near the Sport Quattro's exhaust and call it a day.
This folks, is why you pay for the optional insurance. It certainly wouldn't help with heirlooms and the like but at least the 'replaceable' stuff.
You can unhook it? Hitches do that
They should have done a downhill portion that stressed braking and turning.
Winter tires would have mopped up there as well
Not sure if trolling....
Needs moar wastegate.
True. For under $1k you may need to replace a tie rod, rebuild a carb or something but a few of these cars you can't find around here under $1k period. Even with a blown engine and 1/2 the interior parted out.
