There is a difference between "not easy" and "not possible" Around here some of those cars can't be obtained under $1k. Sure, I guess if you are generous and consider a car with no drivetrain to be eligible.

Some of these aren't exactly easy to find in running condition for under 1k. And when I say "some" I mean "all"

My thoughts exactly. I (typically) don't condone the street racers typically but the hypocrisy here is mind-bending.

Did they unhook the passenger side airbag? I see lots of gizmos that would end up in the face of the passenger should they have hit something.

Tampa, Florida?

It absolutely should be counted against them if it is a factory option. If I buy the optional massaging/heated/cooled seats and they break it is definitely on the onus of the manufacturer. Aftermarket stuff is an entirely different animal.

They have the largest independent database of reliability data, I believe.

If you are looking for a driving appliance, which is what most people that buy cars like Camrys are looking for, they are a good place to start. Is it an enthusiast publication? No. And they don't pretend to be.

I guess I should have said "New York City metropolitan area airports" instead?

Bus? The airtrain connects the terminals too (if you can find it) but yeah you have to go outside of security. At least most of United is a terminal C so if you are connecting you may not have to switch terminals.

It's great PR because breast cancer has a high cure rate. So they can bring out some woman that 'beat' it. Meanwhile, Ovarian cancer is very deadly and lung cancer kills the most.

Laguardia is pretty awful. Always busy, no parking, old, short runways, delays delays delays. They remodeled the delta terminal but it is still a dump.

I don't own enough flat-brimmed hats for this car so....CP

But I thought Texas was all about "Free Enterprise" and "minimal regulations"?

White shows dirt and doesn't really have any 'depth' to it. I think silver sells well because it hides a lot of blemishes and dirt.

CP. I have heard people say "buy the best one you can" when referring to these cars. That is not this specimen.

996s are at the bottom of the depreciation curve. Even with the conversion done I am not sure this is 25k material.

In general newer cars are heavier. All that safety equipment is not light.

AWD/4WD benefit too. You have to turn and stop at some point.

Ana maria island is right on the gulf. Without climate control in that garage and regular operation everything made out of rubber or plastic is done. I wouldn't be surprised to find some mild corrosion as well, or mold. Still, if it doesn't look awful in person these do run forever and a capable wrench-turner could
