That sure sounds like a scientific study! (that's sarcasm in case you didn't get it)

A formal education and driving education I don't feel are analogous at all.

It sure does. That is why cars will be driving themselves.

If the driver makes eye contact with a passenger when they are talking they should be shot. I have ripped people a new asshole when they are driving and do this, pay attention to the road!

While I agree with you philosophically I just don't think it is practical for at least two reasons.

Wow, lots of crybaby responses from people who forgot there was life before cell phones.

I should really change my name on here to 'Autonomous Cars' because that is what we are moving towards.

Because when you are talking to someone in the car they see everything around you as well. So if say a pallet falls off a truck ahead of you they can say "look out" if for some reason you don't already see it. The person on the other end of a phone call has no clue.

Cheap-ass types. I bet they sold more manuals in the base motor when you could get the manual in the base motor and the turbo.

"..drining like Nick Cage..."

Yup, I think you see that attitude reflected in some of the comments on here. Families are automatically going to SUVs/crossovers now and the minivan is a hard sell to some people.

You need a good co-driver for driving that fast to work. He feeds information essential to ensure that the driver knows what lies ahead when the sight distance is so short. Essentially the driver is trusting the co-driver so he can go as fast as possible and doesn't have to do that thinking himself.

I think the gas rationing will work but shouldn't be necessary:

If only they lived in the city with the best mass transit system in the country.

It would almost seem criminal to pay $2,500 for it. I think even Rick Harrison would offer him more.

With the increasing prevalence of digital media how do you see R&T separating itself from other publications? Perhaps not necessarily coverage on the newest vehicles?

Yeah, you know those are all built by unionized workers (the cars assembled in Germany anyway.)

I wonder why they went the cloth seats? I was under the impression that most companies were moving to leather for cleaning and wear?

I knew she was an idiot because she drove a Jeep Compass...

Definitely agree with #8, especially the weather part. Could be clear on the east and a blizzard on the west.
