I agree, though I think that is a failure on our government's part for not investing more in our country's infrastructure. Unfortunately, telecoms are not going to invest their for-profit business into infrastructure to reach a few extra people. That's the reason why my family lives two miles outside of the city

I think the Amazon pre-order numbers are a function of three things:

I see people asking exactly how much can be done on 1-12gb of data a month (e.g. how many netflix movies can be streamed) , and I think some are missing the point of having a mobile hotspot.

I think the thing is that these plans are aimed at those who want internet access "on the go" in those remote places where there is no WiFi to connect to. It's not meant to be an internet replacement for your home connection (especially streaming netflix non-stop), but a way to access the internet to check email, surf

Ain't inflation a bitch?

That would pay for almost all of my decade-long student loans. And he bought a Murphy bed and shelves!

So, 26 x $18,500 = 481,000/10 = $48,100.

The fact of the matter is that a lot of people, the majority of people, face either having no vehicle and no means to get to their employment and are unable to purchase a vehicle outright. As a result, they tend to put down a few thousand on purchasing a used vehicle and even after 5 years, trading it in with debt

I look at it this way. I will be out of graduate school within 3 years. Two years ago I needed a dependable car to get between Oklahoma and Texas and ended up purchasing a lightly used 2007 Honda element, with a total owed after financing of around $12,000. I've paid two years on it already, so after three years I

Just one more perk to not living in the city.

I believe that the idea behind the approach to China is to create trade relations strong enough to prevent any sane Chinese leader from attacking what would amount to be its own financial interests. Or you could look at it as though the US intends to democratize China via Capitalism.

iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S...

If the aspect ratio of the screen is kept constant, how big of a difference would there have been between the 4 and 5? I just don't buy that as an excuse. As for android, it's the versions of android that fragment the OS, not the different screens or aspect ratios. Sure, it gets to be a problem when you see an App

Sap? This is meant to cut finished wood like 2x4's or other types of lumber, not trimming limbs or cutting trees.

You can't have it both ways: cheap electronics/goods and quality pay for those that manufacture those goods. I don't disagree that these workers deserve to be paid more (a lot more), but it comes with the understanding that those prices will be passed on to me, the consumer.

Actually, if you make it so that in all countries pay is comparable, the lure of sending jobs overseas would cease to exist and manufacturing jobs would return to the United States.

$250,000 for 450 square feet. What a bargain!

I don't know, as the entire chain failed. You could say why didn't the graduate assistant go over Joe's head once he saw that nothing would come of it, etc. Joe just has the making of the perfect martyr, plus, I wouldn't be surprised if Penn State had wanted him to retire or get rid of him beforehand.

From my understanding, a graduate assistant saw the shower incident between a child and one of the Penn State coaches and told Joe. Joe told his immediate superior (head of the athletic department) who then did nothing, if try to make it all go away.
