I've sold book on Amazon while in college. Selling is a breeze, but waiting for payment is the biggest drawback.
Same here. We sacrificed on the kitchen since we needed a place cheap (plus our landlord has slowly upgraded appliances), but our next place will definitely have a nice modern kitchen.
A nice kitchen is one of the things that is on the top of my list when I am looking for a rental property. Second only to washer and dryer (I mostly rent apartments, but the same goes for homes I've rented in the past as well)
The old adage stands - Kitchen or Bathroom yields the best returns.
I had that idea as well (having my husband help pay my loan, among other things...like rent). He had a stroke and can no longer work. Disability doesn't pay that well, and I am now the sole income. I think you need to have a Plan B...just in case life happens.
