They've always had to incentivize these things pretty hardcore to roll them off the lot. I had two Z71's purchased new and neither one was even close to MSRP - like large percentage off by the end of the day. Ain't no one paying $45,595 for a base tahoe - at least not in 2003-2007 sales numbers.

The first time an Audi A8 came up behind me at night I thought a jet plane was landing behind me - so bright, so many lights. In fact, the car looks a lot better at night IMO because of the lights.
