I’m an “old” millennial (32), along with the majority of my private sector girlfriends who have expressed similar sentiments re letting the “Bobbys of the world” stop them from take their vacation time. Sometimes I think about leaving my super slow/boring and entirely unfulfilling fed gov lawyer job but whenever I

Agreed! My parents were 32 and 38 when they had me and 37 and 43 when they had my brother. They said it was really tiring when we were little but both agree that we have actually kept them younger. Their neighbors are the same age but had kids in their early twenties and my parents always joke about how much older

My father taught me the same. I loathe the generic thank you “template” people use. It’s basically meaningless and only for the sake of appearance. I’d honestly rather they light it on fire than waste the postage.

I use these for s’mores! I pop a marshmallow on top and broil until it’s toasted. They’re so good!

This is when, “but what about the chillldrennn!!!” pearl-clutching is actually applicable. Fuck these assholes.

My husband and I eloped but ended up having a wedding for the parents, photos, etc. My parents paid for it but I still wish we would have gone the destination route for cost and ease. Like overtheriver1991, I too thank and resent my friend for telling me that story. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks it’s terrifying.

My dad is a dentist and my mom is a hygienist. They gave out toothbrushes but switched to candy after several years of waking up to dozens of single-packaged toothbrushes floating in our pond.

My friend said Jane gave the police a description of the guy but they weren’t able to do much beyond that. I didn’t think to ask her about fingerprints but the guy actually took all of the window screens with him. (Guessing he was also probably wearing gloves?)

This happened to a friend of a friend earlier this summer (as told by my friend). I’ll call her friend Jane. Jane is a nurse who works a specific shift at a local hospital and keeps a really consistent schedule. She gets up at 5am, takes a shower, and then heads off to work. Jane lives in a bungalow a block away
