They did, there was an "Integrale" version of nearly any car based on the "Tipo" platform (that's the name of the platform where the Delta, Dedra, Alfa 155, Fiat Croma, Fiat Tipo, etc, where based on).

That Motoramic article is absolute idiocy. The writer lauds the S-Class coupe concept and then complains about the Corvette, Mustang, and Challenger for existing and being too big and not fuel efficient enough. He complains that American cars are too big and not fuel-efficient enough in general.
Please sir, may I have some more?
There's that and the production Aurora is in the background.
Agreed. My car was broken into, but not stolen last year. I have to wonder if they saw the stick and said huh? They took the loose change, but left the antiquated stereo...
Check the sign my friend. Aurora V8. I know what the Aurotech is.
I should shove MY FOOT up THEIR ASSES... But I'm using them both... for the pedals.
No matter how many times I read these stories, they're always funny!
That is NOT the Aurora. It's the Aerotech. Looks like the short tail version. IT was a technology demonstrator with Twin turbo Four-cyl engine making ~850hp. This was in the mid 1980s, and pushed the ar to over 268mph in a closed coursed, giving it the world's record for the time.
Dumbasses
How many people knew that Toyota made its own hummer? Admit it...you didn't know.
these guys are going all out! how much room is left for the ZR1 if they build it?
Definitely. The Charger isn't a lightweight at nearly 3700 pounds, but it's easily lighter than a current 5-series. It clearly loses in the traction department though, which is all sorts of fun and/or scary.
yep :)
If performance is a reduced shift time and the time to shit a gear in the automatic is faster than in the manual, then the Z06 equipped with an automatic has better performance.
Berger Chevrolet (the dealership who is sourcing the replacement Zl1 for the Hoopers had the distinction of selling ZL1 #3 (of the 69 original ZL1 COPO Camaros that were built in 1969 - the only model year for that engine).
I'll bring torches pitchforks pick axes and myself I sat in a ZL1 and almost fell asleep in the dealer showroom in the drivers seat it was so comfortable and their trying to go with the two owner and repaired ZL1 that some snotty teen probably wrecked to begin with just give a full brand new replacement with whatever…
The wrecked car was not brand new. It had 10,000 miles and was 2 model years old. That said, I do think the dealer needs to do better to either find a replacement or to find a middle ground between a new one and the value of what was damaged.
I understand it was delicate times for GM, but I was really disappointed it never happened either.
How does them doing or not doing anything wrong change this situation? If this ZL1 had been totaled by an act of nature and all they got was a check for the depreciated value we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
