Hate to be the negative guy, but this article should’ve been titled “How to Create the Worst Movie Watching Experience Ever”.

Agreed. I really love the old Rangers and most cars from the late 90's and early 2000's because they were much simpler. Then the “Luxury” craze kicked off. Now, even your most basic car has a touch screen and rearview camera, and a billion other unnecessary gadgets and gizmos. The Ranger is a truly special vehicle…
David actually addressed this in a comment above. He says it’s no longer about the city - it’s about his personal well being.
If you don’t want to live next to someone with a yard/driveway full of dead vehicles, move???
I love that you’re actually doing this. I feel like your life is going to be so much better without all that excess. Maybe now you can focus on really restoring one nice Jeep. Maybe we can get some great articles and videos about it too. Best of luck to you.
C. Please see A. Compact trucks used to be cheap to buy and cheap on gas. If you can buy +50% capacity for 2mpg and $2000 why wouldn’t you? You are making 3 trips to the dump (sorry, recycling center) 2 trips.
I’d say the reason the F150 continues to destroy the Ranger in sales is because Ford intentionally makes them cost about the same. I haven’t checked recently, but when the new Ranger came out, you could spec out an almost equivalent F150 for about $3000 more. When you’re spending $35k, you might as well spend the…
The real response would be: “Meh, I can get a lightly used 2011 Ranger FX4 for half that money. Pass.”
Well, the “no manual option” complaint would be totally valid. The whole point of a truck in this segment is that it’s cheap, reliable, simple, and basically just a workhouse. A manual transmission is just a part of that equation.
I’ll second this. Since most young mechanics can’t afford two decent cars, I think it’s a good idea to start your wrenching journey on a motorcycle, that way you can leave it in pieces but still take your car to work. And if you live in a place with little rain, you can actually do the reverse during the warmer…
I think you just had a bad experience because you had a cheap Ford. The Germans have been doing frameless doors for a long time without any issue. You’re actually the first person I’ve ever seen complain about frameless doors, so I’m sure other countries/manufacturers are able to successfully do frameless as well.
And Ford has already sold 50,651 Edges this year, along with 101,148 Explorers.
I’ve been saying this for years. There’s been an enormous whole in the market, just waiting to be filled. Toyota could have taken it by simply adding a manual transmission to the 4-Runner and creating a cheaper base model that was more off-road focused. But no, it was somehow up to Ford to completely steal that…
But the 4cyl makes 270hp/310 torque. The V6 would be nice, but the 4cyl makes some serious power.
Oh man, please don’t advertise that you’re one of those people who has no problem slaughtering (digital) human beings, but the thought of killing an animal is where you draw the line. I hope you realize how backwards that is.
The second clip -
I agree with your second statement, but your first one scares me. Are you actually saying it’s morally wrong to do a funny stereotypical voice/character?
That’s what I was thinking the whole time I was watching this video. He’s literally saying, “My skin color should dictate what kind of jobs I get as a voice actor.”
I’m not really sure what you’re saying in your first two paragraphs, or what you’re showing with those quotes.
I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I’ve read anything on RideApart, and the climate there may have changed, so I actually just typed Trump into the search bar myself. Yes, there are several results. Are you trying to argue that any mention of the President of the United States makes a blog “political”? Please, don’t…
