Tombstone immediately came to mind:

So this was great! I had faith in Peele and he nailed his debut. I want touch on one aspect in particular I appreciate that is getting a bit overlooked:

He says he has four other social horror ideas on tap! And Get Out is performing well at the box office!

Seriously, Howery was fucking great.

I've already seen Personal Shopper, Graduation, and The Lost City of Z, all three of which I heartily recommend.

Seriously, why the fuck is this particular one not just called 'The Zookeeper' or the plural?!

That is the point.

Christine getting completely overlooked this awards season is maddening. Hall should have been a damn lock.

I recently started watching wrestling again for the first time in about a decade. This was my first NXT Takeover and I loved it. The in-ring storytelling was excellent and unique for every match. I plan to catch up on the previous ones at some point and may start watching the weekly program as well.

As someone who cannot stand The Usual Suspects, due to its outsized reputation (I would be indifferent otherwise), this sounds quite intriguing. I would definitely check it out if it showed up on streaming.

"I'll have what I'm having!"

I actually forgot he was in Sicario, despite having seen it twice. That has to be because I watched that Black Mirror episode later on and his performance was so singular.

The Adams snub is astounding. Especially in favor of yet another year of pandering to Streep.

I went to see Split as well, and enjoyed it a lot.

Funnily enough, I've recently seen certain critics going to bat for Dirty Grandpa and Gods of Egypt as being unfairly maligned. Might actually bite the bullet on them to see for myself.

People will read it different ways, that is always a given. As someone who struggles with mental illness, I found it quite empathetic. But it is also a supernatural film that revels in its schlockiness. If you can accept that, it is quite fun. If you cannot make that distinction (no judgment), then best to stay clear

Vertigo is number six.

Caught this at the NYFF last year. One of the best films to premiere in 2016. Much different than Stranger by the Lake though, so go in with an open mind if that is your only frame of reference for Guiraudie. At this point, he can make a movie about anything and I will be in a fervor to see it.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I love boundary-pushing cinema and even for me, this came across as too much. That said, I will definitely still see it and hope to be proven wrong, or at least get something worthwhile out of it, or truly at least not mind staring at Cate Blanchett for 94 minutes.

Are you fucking kidding me? Are you literally saying the victim does not matter?
