I see they’ve cast Hugh Grant as Hugh Grant.  I’m in.

Story engine?

It’s so great when somebody becomes successful and famous but is also unarguably a genuinely nice and humble person. She’d never burn a capital city to the ground in a show of petulance.

They could make it hard.

As a 12 year old boy watching this in England in 1981 at some kind of youth club screening, I’d have been surprised that the rating discussion was around cutting Medusa’s head off when Judi Bowker’s bum was right there.

I think the stuff with his kids is worse.  And the Michelle Phillips bit.

I read extracts in The Guardian many years ago from a book called Canyon of Dreams which pieces the story together from first-hand accounts by lots of the artists. It’s out of print and I’ve never been able to justify £100 for a second-hand copy, but based on the extracts I’d love that book.

Yeah but Nash can be a bit of a dick too. His interview with the Guardian last year was a car crash.

I liked the trailer.  The film was more a remake than a sequel which made it a bit disappointing.  And as a remake of a New Hope, Top Gun Maverick did a better job.

For commoners that’s true until the age of about 5. For the aristocracy it’s true until the age of 80 and beyond.

I was disappointed that when he looked inside the jacket for his name, he didn’t say “I’m Mel Brooks Brothers”.

Also applies to one of our (increasingly numerous) former Prime Ministers.
