Incredibly original musician who has done her own thing for over 40 years, never compromising her vision. This is a good starting point.

A good starting point is this BBC documentary.
Enjoy. Aerial is a good one for a sunny summer’s day, and 50 Words For Snow, equally works best when listened to in Winter. The atmospheres she builds can be so specific that it can be quite disconcerting listening to those two particularly at the “wrong” time.
I think Kate inspired a lot of women from different genres to do their own thing unapologetically. But for specific Kate fans within the punk community, John Lydon is by far the most gushing.
I enjoy Wild Man.
Who else could write a song about nuclear holocaust from the perspective of an unborn (but reincarnated) child?
Good call with Rocket’s Tail!
Those two pieces formed the bulk of her 2013 show which I was lucky enough to see. The suggestion that Watching You Without Me is the “must-listen” on side B of Hounds of Love is ludicrous. The “must listen” is all of it.
And discovering on further exploration of her back catalogue that it’s far from the strangest song she’s ever done.
Twice the Lemmys, twice the fun.

Appearing as himself on Update is by far his best contribution to SNL.
“Jar Jar Binks! It’s good to see you!”
They should get Peter Serafinowicz.
Channel 4 has never been shy of political writing, hence why the Tory Government is keen to sell it off so it will concentrate on its shit (but cheap) reality shows.
Posting here for lack of anywhere else to mention it. Derry Girls’ final series/season finished last night and the final episode is one of the most moving yet funny pieces of television I’ve ever seen. I think it should go down as one of the greatest TV shows of all time. I hope those of you in the US will not be…
It was exceptionally dull. The interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on the other hand was a joy.
No -I don’t think Cliff would be that big a dick. I think he genuinely respects Kim and wants to channel her away from Jimmy’s scams and towards doing some good.
