Back then, I bought one—with everything on that list but the wagon body. Amazing car. I still miss it and I’m working on buying that particular car back from the person I sold it to.

Thing is, when a shop quotes that kind of repair tab, chances are much of it’s discretionary stuff, and it’s really a few hundred dollars of normal bits changed out. Heck, modern Saabs aren’t even all that weird. However, when an owner gets sticker shock from an estimate and dumps the car on Craigslist, it’s often a…
As a Realtor, I’ve told clients more than once: Pool = really expensive planter.
I was going to say “mistresses” at first, but since you’ve gone there, I’ll put it back on the list. :oP
Hoser, eh?
Pools are yet another thing best owned and maintained by others.
Early LSes with the 1UZ engine are non-interference, with the timing belts often going way past the 100k mile interval with no issues. If it breaks, drag it home and change the belt. Later ‘400s and 430s are slightly different (variable valve timing) and ARE interference engines. For those, religiously follow the…
David would see this as a Jeep snuff video.
Marginally NP. For a really-clean, pleasantly unadulterated Pacific NW car, this is correct pricing. I’ve seen clean, correct SPGs fetch quite a bit more in the midwest and east coast. And, they are fantastic, fun drivers even in stock form.

I’ll still bet that the first one of these to get pranged will be by someone who just didn’t see the car.
I thought this was a Torch piece when I first read it.
Per CO DOT’s site, it looks like it’s open again (last updated 8:38 MDT). Slowish going from Vail Pass to the Loveland exit, but it’s moving.
Just a flesh wound?
That car looks WRXed, or perhaps De-Evoed.
Forget about the donut spare tire; this was the donut hole spare.
Heck, you could go deaf by sitting on that trunk lid....
Current 9000 owner here and have had a 9000 of some stripe or another for the past couple decades.
Long time ham radio operator: can confirm, especially in a metro area of any reasonable size. Same BSing/ragchewing skill (OG social media?) often applies when traveling to different cities as well.
