aha I did but missed that bit! :)
Amazing! Well done, Billy Whizz. Any details on his car mods? Is he operating 3 pedals or have some hand controls?
I believe when it came it out in 2013, the base 991 was LIGHTER than the outgoing 997! I bought a brand new 991 in 2013 when everyone was complaining about them, the electric steering, the size, blah blah, meanwhile I was driving around and loving it. :)
I agree that its not entirely true, and the cost does vary. In my region its about $300 a day, plus all the other stuff like tires, but then street racers have those costs too. And yes, we also get some diversity, and women, but they aint broke... I just still think *culturally* track days are not all that welcoming,…
Yep, and the track day scene is not welcoming AT ALL to kids with no money. Its all 70 year olds, or tech bros.
sleekness to the body!
staged, because never f*ck with Russian Lada drivers
Do you ever have problems being prohibited to run with the open rear glass? What events to do you do in the PNW?
Painful to watch, and not just because of the presentation style, or photo formatting ;) “Here we have a grand prix kinda car” hmmm, indeed.
It sounds like you got plenty of traction.
Yes, aero-cars can be counter-intuitive and tricky to drive...
That’s a March 811, not an 881. 881s were 1988/89 driven by Capelli and Gugelman.
Yes, there is a section where he says “I should probably use the brakes more and less engine braking” - as a track day instructor, I physically shuddered lol but good for him for getting out there in it
Just drive a 911 backwards
Well where is YOUR information from? There are actually no official order numbers YET for 991.2 PDK v Manual, but rumor is that production will be 70% PDK and 30% Manual, and it is a fact that manuals wont be delivered for the first few months. I’ve talked to several Porsche dealers - I have a 991.1 GT3 (See video…
No I dont think that. I’m talking about people railing against PDK online. In reality BUYERS choose PDK and other dual clutch options. When Ferrari offered a manual California, they sold 3. Even with a manual GT3 option, large majority of orders are still PDK.
Maybe I was a bit abrasive :) Sure pushing the clutch in with your foot is fun, and I’m spoiled being a race driver with access to vintage racecars too, but a) a PDK is manual (Im manually selecting the gear) and b) a clutch pedal is just a device to separate drive from the wheels, momentarily slowing you down and…
