Exactly. Manual-lovers are just going for internet cool points. I have a GT3 PDK - here’s me “not really being involved with the car”. If I wanna get nostalgic I drive my ‘74 Alfa.

    TBH, those miatas sound better

Yes, retention and loyalty is part of the reason we treat employees well, it ends up being cheaper, and more rewarding, than treating them badly.

Sometimes its OK to take a hit because you need a car and dont have $9000 in cash on hand...

It’s quite easy to view bad behavior as inevitable in the pursuit of wealth. It is far from the truth, though. There are many ethically grounded wealthy people. I think what’s closer to the truth is that indirect harm happens in a society with winners and losers. I own companies with 100+ employees, we pay well and

    I have those PF01s on my NSX - 17/18s.

The 928 is not a car that last well over time, mechanically. Maybe they suffered from incompetent maintenance over the years, but everyone of them that I know (and I’ve owned 2 - S4s) have been a nightmare of exasperating problems. Heat management, electrical, brake-assist, timing and tune. IMO Everything is horrible,

    2) ...but I agree bikes are quicker off the line v car. The rider in this video sucks. Driving a car quickly in a straight line is easy, not so a bike.

1 ) Not true at all. Competent street car v street bike on track- car is faster. Cars do the important stuff better - braking and turning. More lateral stability, contact patch at each corner, milder consequences for going over the limit. I ride and drive on track. Cars are a minute quicker around the ‘ring.

Yawn. DCT/PDK etc can be so, so involving. I have a 991.1 GT3. I, and I alone, select the gears. Why does my foot have to be involved? To slow the car down fractionally? Yes, I enjoy 3 pedal cars, and I have a few.

exact same thing happened to me. rainwater in the bike’s gas tank. It just ran like shit until I figured out the problem - and it was doing it for weeks! Drained the tank, filled up, good to go.

The listing says it has a 5-speed G50 Porsche transaxle. What the what??

    The narrator of that video:

I agree, and looked outdated in the 60s. Drivers terribly, too, by all accounts.

Unpopular opinion: it’s ugly and looks like its from 1955, not ‘65.

Ive found the transatlantic BA business to be OK. Lie-flat beds and your own little “cubicle”.

not in business or first :)

I’ve recently (last few years) flown business on BA, upstairs in their 747s. It’s still the same! Only about 12 seats, you get your own attendant and bathroom, and of course these days movies are in the in-seat entertainment systems. They no longer have spiral staircases, they are straight with a 90 degree turn half

Doesnt look good for him to be held by the throat for so long. Good to see him moving and seemingly OK after the guy on top is knocked off.

I guess rolling round the earth on the surface is technically in orbit.
