Ive never thought about this “cycle of abuse” in that way. Do you have studies/links with data? I hope you’re right and it is largely a myth!
Cant you *tell* there is more than 0 miles on it? Tire wear etc?
He was going to put 268 miles on it that afternoon, maybe?
Sure is (Vellfire/Alphard), the van game is strong in Tokyo. And HK. I go to both occasionally and come back with an iphone full of van pics.

OK, whatevs. You said -“I can assure you that safety is Priority One with the all the groups I work with. There’s always a lead car with a highly experienced instructor” - so why 2 fatal crashes in these supercar speedway places in the last 2 years? One of which was going AGAINST the design of the barriers. That’s…
Always buy a car you can afford, be it a GT3 or a Honda Civic Wagon. Or in my case, both! ;-)
I wouldnt put so much faith in these places. I instruct with PCA and HOD amongst others and they are all great. These flashy “track experience” are just about the money.
Exactly. I’m a PCA instructor, and I would not go near one of these Las Vegas type “pay per lap” deals. I’ve guest instructed around the country at other clubs, and just walking across the paddock I can tell how “wild west” each one is. I NEVER feel unsafe at a PCA day. They have classroom time, and start slow.
Porsche didnt make 917 road cars - they were in a racing class that didnt need homologation. Some 3rd parties have made 917 road cars after the fact.
In damp European climates, you could push your finger through the metal on these after about 6 months.
Yeah this was a selling feature in 1959
you have done a great thing!
yes, much better to fall in line with our great leader! resistance is futile!
I have a 91 NSX. It gets LOTS of attention, although one girlfriend, getting in it in the dark for the first time, sat down, closed the door and said “is this a Corvette?”. We didnt last long.
I didnt say it was a bad 4-banger. I had a UK-spec 200SX with the turbo and loved it. I guess I misread the thread that everyone was suggesting straight sixes, but yeah, SR20 qualifies as one of the “coolest engines Nissan made”.
You mean S20 - the straight six from the Hakosuka skyline? The SR20 is a 4-banger.
Protests (sometimes) work against private companies who want to win customers back. Not so much on totalitarian governments. Occasionally, but you’ve got a stand in front of a few tanks first.
You can still get a decent 456 in the 60k range
