You missed theR’ in “Ranger”, in the disclosure. Great read though. Wish we had them in the states. We will eventually, I would imagine.

I was gonna say, maybe it’s side mounted intercooler? But then I saw the pictures...so, really there isn’t any reason at all, maybe aerodynamics, but it still stupid. Just put the scoop on there, damn it!

The stupidest thing I've ever seen..... I want 37 of them.

Just 6 months and lease the new ranger

Cause the invoice on a 2017 is roughly $500 on standard equipment and $1,300 on an RS2. Doesn’t qualify for rebates, so people expecting a reasonable discount will be rubbed the wrong way when they show a measly $500-800 off sticker for a 2 year old car.

Maybe from the overall length of the car and/or wheelbase? If it's over say 112" wheelbase it's considered luxury, in a 4 door sedan?

I hear that, take a jump pack with ya!

Trade in to the dealer actually works out much better than expected. I’m surprised at how many people aren’t aware of the issue when shopping, they usually buy them if cross shopping with a cruze, for example

The fix is free and reasonably quick. Backed by a 10 year warranty or 100k miles as well. It's just an annoyance that may never happen for some owners. It won't leave you stranded, it just acts like a manual that needs to downshift sometimes but takes an extra second.

It’s off the same platform. About 99'’ wheelbase. However, the interior volume is nearly identical to the focus hatch in every dimension.

With incentives, you can get a fwd ecosport for less than a focus. It has nearly identical interior volume as the focus hatch. Or get 4wd for about $1,000 more

And only about 8,500 in the USA

Sticker gouging is at the dealers discretion. If you’re a small dealer and only get 1 per year, wouldn’t you do the same? But, if you get the opportunity to have 3-4 throughout the year, you sell them at sticker or even with a slight discount.

You never know, most of the focus on my dealers lot are 1.0L with the real 6 speed automatic. Strictly because of the studder probably. The added cost outweighs the complaints and routine service trips by angry customers. We even tend to stay away from pre owned 2013- 2018 focus for the same reason.

Wouldn't be surprised if that number was only 400-900 max

That was perfect. It's funny cause it's true

Hahaha. I see a lot of empty nesters, 2nd car or right outta college early 20 somethings But, mainly 50-70 year olds that might be driving 1 other person occasionally.

Lol, unless you get the 3cylinder Ecoboost. It comes with a real 6-speed automatic

Well you can get a brand new one for nearly 10,000 with the incentives

I could see, paving the way for what is the most popular segment in the industry. But, if you could get a fucking tent/ console-cooler that came with a crv, Rav, or escape that would be much more impactful now.
