Yes, I would like to live deliciously. Where can I get this cheese?

Well - The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, And Her Lover was pretty scary.

Now playing

How can you get through a whole article on that tech without mentioning that Stuart Rutherford is Stu from What We Do In The Shadows:

If anything, this is an argument against giving the player too much choice in designing their avatar. You’re never going to make everyone happy - and blank slate characters are boring anyway.

I work for a developer and we each get one free copy of each of our new games. Anything else and we have to go to the store. I suppose I might expect publishers to be more generous than independent developers - but not by much.

Huh. Thanks for the correction.

That’s not Scots, that’s Scottish-English (or Scottish Standard English). Scots is a Goidelic language like Irish or Manx.

He’s been a creep in the past. No data on whether or not he’s still a creep.

The best thing Colin Farrell did was stop playing heartthrobs. He was always at his best when playing a scumbag or a sad-sack.

Comparisons to Episode 1 do not help things. Even The Hobbit movies weren’t that bad.

I agree that it’s a problem with its origin in the source material. I think it wouldn’t have been as bad if they hadn’t shown the hobbits taking down orcs in the cave troll fight.

My main problem with Fellowship is that it didn’t have any Redshirts - so the orcs never feel like a threat. If the untrained hobbits can overpower them in combat (in the fight before the cave troll, for example), why should we consider them dangerous at all?

Of course there is - because each of those characters had a toy that could be promoted with those stories.

I doubt we’ll stick around to find out.

My wife and I (who met on OKC) are non-monogamous but closeted because, among other reasons, she works at a very conservative company. We already went to great efforts to keep our joint account as anonymous as possible, but I guess now it has to be deleted. This sucks.

And I have had to replace a bunch of broken ones (especially for game controllers). It’s just not heavy-duty enough for several of the jobs it has to do. Like game controllers, for example.

While I really like the ubiquity of micro-USB, I hate everything else about it. It’s tiny, flimsy, and not reversible. Doesn’t take much to improve upon that.
