I loved both DoW1 and DoW2, but they feel like they should be different franchises. This looks far more like a DoW1 sequel, which I am incredibly happy about - but now I want a DoW2 sequel also. I got the impression that Section 9 was relatively cosmopolitan. Wasn’t Batou supposed to be European or of European descent? Or does he dye his hair blond? I’ll agree that Motoko Kusanagi isn’t a name that leaves a lot of ethnic ambiguity though. That character is clearly Japanese.
