Hey,Tom. The Steelers didn’t refuse to resign him. They offered him what was double the next highest paid back. 15 million a year and he would have made 30 million ( guaranteed) in the first 2 years. This site is so illogically lazy and unfunny anymore. Just do some basic research and stop with the nonsense. You

I’m not convinced Ford’s current leadership is up to the task of pulling them out of this one. The secret sauce to Ford’s success through the late 2000s wasn’t *just* Alan Mulally. It was the triumvirate of Mulally, Mark Fields (as President of The Americas), and Don LeClair (as CFO).

The arresting officer..

What are you talking about? Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco have done a cycle in the same game multiple times.

This Hemholz effect may possibly be mitigated by the addition of a low pressure disturbance behind the window opening. I suggest a small dent in the passenger side rear bumper.

... and the F150 will have more incentives, making it the cheaper option. Then, when nobody buys their smaller truck for more money, they’ll say “See? Nobody wants a small pickup!”

Damn, Jameis ate the FUCK out of JPP’s W, didn’t he?

Considering the Courier was a Fiesta with the rear chopped off, we can picture a Focus like that.

yeah the baja never made sense to me you can do MORE truck things with a regular outback if you fold the seats down ...

This is the kind of stuff MOST conservatives are talking about when they say they want to reduce regulation. However it is so easy to spin “conservatives want to increase pollution” “conservatives hate the environment when you suggest a proposal such as easing or eliminating CAFE altogether.

Fair enough, though the typical truck buyer also likely isn’t looking for a FWD unibody either, otherwise the Ridgeline would be doing significantly better than it is.

CAFE is scored on a curve that benefits giant heavy vehicles.

In addition to CAFE - here’s a thought. Would you sell a lower price, lower margin item that competes with your higher price, higher margin product? So, if it does come out, it will be 85%+ the price of a larger vehicle with much worse options.

Large trucks up until recently did not count at all. Only very recently did the quarter ton trucks get bumped into Cafe at all and I think it’s weighted so if your Ford and your best selling vehicle is the f150 you don’t have to give away hundreds of thousands of fiestas a year for free to meet cafe. 2500 trucks and

I think it is because if Ford sold you a low optioed four door f150 xlt for $25,000 (over 12 grand off msrp) Ford still makes thousands of dollars in profits. If Ford sold you a f-Mcmidget at sticker price for 19 grand they make A thousand on the sale. They would rather you just buy a ranger for 22k (28k msrp) where

That’s what I said. Profitability (because we have no idea how to make anything other than a truck with any sort of profitability) was one major factor (The DPS6 transmission lost the company so much money, it’s mind boggling) and CAFE, which is measured in the 55 mpg target and co2 (the car must be “carbon positive”)

So, in short. Ford is taking the easy more profitable way out.
