In my school district, there ARE summer programs to keep feeding school-aged children over summer break. The horror.

Try not to worry. My kids went to the so-called “ghetto school” (so named by wealth white people who would never set foot in it) and it’s been great. Poor people also want the best for their kids. Teachers in old, falling-down schools care about their students.
