@acamas: I actually did buy UC2 because of the multiplayer. A friend of mine had lent me the game and I had already beaten it but went out and bought myself a copy after I returned it to him because I enjoyed the mp so much. Granted I've also played through the single player again several times. That game is just…
@doctorrobert: UC2 is literally the only competitive MP that I think I've actually had real fun with. I certainly logged a ton of hours into other games multiplayer but that was more addiction and/or time killing. With Uncharted, even if I'm not on top of the scoreboard or racking up cash, I still have a blast…
@DoctorSasquatch: Yes! Someone else who loved Vanquish as much as me! :D
I was playing some Killzone, just on my own, not in a squad or even with my mic on. I had a particularly good round and afterward I get a friend request on the PSN from Matt-something-or-other. I accepted even though every other person on my PSN friend list is someone I know in real life and seconds later I'm…
@Jonn: Crash and R&C were both incredibly solid franchises though and established signature gameplay styles. So it's not quite like the cookie cutter realistic FPS thing even though they share the trait animal protagonists. Never played Gex or Bubsy so I can't speak on those.
@TheRealDoshu: I'm right there with you. I think I've passed a healthy point of excitement and am now ill due to the anticipation.
@digimope: More than the free running, I've been excited about this game because not only does it encourage more cooperative play, it almost pressures you into it. I can't tell you how much frustration I've experienced when I'm playing some FPS multiplayer and my team ends up losing because someone was more worried…
I don't know why but when he said, "Just try and get close to that baby," I completely lost it.
@doctorrobert: I'm pretty sure that Vanquish sold poorly because of a lack of marketing and some people going, "Japanese shooter? Pass."
9 minutes a day is all we need baby. Three Starcraft wins and outtie. :P
@CloserDivision: Agreed. One could barely consider this cosplay.
@Vondruke: Martial arts based action movies are actually pretty much the ONLY Western movies where you'll see a solo Asian lead and even then they're usually paired up with someone. Hollywood, keeping Asians in the background since...forever.
@digimope: There was a Spider-Man iPhone game that did something similar to what you were saying. The game is short and repetitive and overall not worth the price, but the first few minutes of messing around with the combat system are pretty fun.
@TrentUGA: Well this isn't not Activision we're talking about.
@Tlachtli: Well he also stated that the majority of the time was spent in filler combat. So it's actually more like watching a 30-minute movie with several lengthy intermissions. ;)
Wow, I will be doing all kinds of not watching that. Three minutes was plenty for me! BYE!
@explevel2: I was thinking that myself as I watched. I think we know now why the system failed. :P
@Carl0fDuty: I cannot tell you how many hours of my childhood were spent on multiplayer Warzone, even though it was on the 64. That was at my friend's house but I eventually got WWF Attitude for my PSone. I've never been a huge fan of wrestling, even as a kid but I loved the hell out of wrestling video games.
