If an 8-year old picks up this game, I should hope that his or her parents have done their due diligence and don't buy it. And games as teaching tools? Sure, they have the potential for that, but they still primarily serve to entertain. Your lack of faith in people's ability to make decisions for themselves and

Hmmm, well a lot of that trophy shooting and whatnot is filler to artificially extend the life of the game. I would say the bulk of my quality time with Vanquish was spent trying to complete all of the challenges (with over 80% of that time spent on challenge 6). I milked every last bit of playtime I could out of

Unfortunately, I think hour/dollar value was a big reason that Vanquish didn't sell well. I think a co-op mode would have been fantastic. It's nice to see Cliff at least acknowledge Vanquish though, it's a damned amazing TPS.

I hate to say it, but I think lack of hour/dollar value was a big reason Vanquish didn't sell well. It's good to see Cliff at least acknowledging the game though, it's a damned fantastic TPS.

I can't remember which pack got me the Mattock initially, but nearly all of my Mattock upgrades came from Veterans Packs. Give it a shot.

The Turian soldier wrecks lives. If you spec for headshot damage, penetration weapon mod, and have the Proxy Mine damage boost evolution you are capable of downing any type of enemy in no time regardless of what difficulty you're playing on.

Eh, the missile increase not as rare as I'd like it to be. I never use more than maybe one or two missiles during a match except in extreme circumstances, yet I've gotten my missile capacity up to 5. Complete waste. But my Medi-Gel capacity is, annoyingly, still sitting at 2.

Hate that.

There are still FAR more bugs than I care to mention, but I'm still having a good time with the multiplayer.

Unfortunately, from what I've seen so far, that statement seems to be all talk. I watched a gameplay demo from what I believe was last year's E3, and the player was gunning down Xenos as easily as throw away enemies in any other shooter, except in the scripted instances where you weren't supposed to be able to kill

I feel like they geared the Vita more toward the Western audience for launch. An Uncharted game at release, Super Stardust, Wipeout, Rayman, but no RPGs or Monster Hunters. I think once they get some content on there that appeals to the Japanese audience, they'll start to move more units.

They'd better put Kevin Butler in this, that's all I'm saying.

Master Chief is certainly more iconic than any of Sony's characters in the sense that he's more widely recognized. But as far as having a cast of characters more suited to this style of game, I'd have to say your'e definitely wrong with Microsoft having the advantage.

Oh, don't get me wrong. As far as presentation (voice acting, graphics, story, etc.), GoW3 blows Bayonetta out of the water. But Platinum games was probably working with literally a fraction of the man power and budget that Sony Santa Monica was.

After playing a bit post DLC, I've noticed it's less glitchy and generally more stable. But I'm still having some issues with bugs and overall there seems to be a lot more lag than before, which is weird.

I loved the first God of War, thought the second added some much needed variety to the combat, but the third was little more than eye candy. There were some great moments, like the Hades fight, but then there were also some incredibly lame moments like the generic giant scorpion fight. The gameplay didn't evolve

Don't worry, it's happened to me as well. It's also happened from dying/being revived in a weird spot, or being knocked back by an explosion/Brute into a glitchy position. I ended up on the roof of the Citadel docks in single player once too, which was actually much cooler because it didn't break the game.

I'll take TPS over FPS any day. I know I'm in the minority, but I just feel so much more effective when I can see around myself.

They're not as tough as the Krogan characters, but much more effective with weapons. They essentially combine the flexibility of the other character classes with a little added toughness. The Turian Sentinel is pretty damned effective having Warp AND Overload. Though, arguably not as good as the Krogan Sentinel,

+1.
