@stupid face: It gets more open after the first section and actually is a pretty cool level for the time. What gets me is the completely black background lined by flat trees. Something that I can't help but see now but probably didn't notice at all as a kid.

@excaliburps: Uncharted's and Killzone's mulitplayer modes are both superior to CoD's, imo, particularly Killzone's. Granted, I only played the first Modern Warfare but there's just so much more to Killzone.

Amazon or bust for me. Their prices are generally very good to begin with, add to that frequent sales, buy-one-get-ones, and as good as cash pre-order bonuses and you can't really beat it.

@TheLAG: Save on sidewalk chalk, draw on a Foxxcon worker?

@cr0w: That's similar to the reason I can't bring myself to buy a Kindle even though I really want one and it would save me a ton of money. I just love holding a book too much and flipping pages and reading ink on paper.

@jeffg1013002: People don't seem to get that in your analogy the BMWs were the games, not the PS3 and it's frustrating me, lol.

@excaliburps: Not really, I do a lot of co-op but not much competitive. I was very much into Killzone 2 when it first came out but I traded it in, regretfully. I will be re-buying it just to have in my collection but only when it's super cheap. I'll definitely be into Brink though barring horrible reviews and KZ3

@B00: Oh, good looking out. Though the only things I have on my DSi that I've downloaded are the Mario vs. Donkey Kong Minis March Again game, which I got for free, and Escapee Go, which was like $2. I don't really use the camera and the save files aren't a big deal since I've beaten every DS game I have. I think

@aaronarmstrong13: But with WoW you get so much damn content it's ridiculous. You didn't even have to buy Cataclysm to get a lot of what was being advertised about it. Plus the tons of quests which are getting better and better with each expansion. PvP across zones, battlegrounds, arenas and wherever else you want

If they think console owners will pay subscription fees on top of their XBLG fees or on top of NOTHING in the case of PS3 owners when there are plenty of other (some arguably better) shooters out there they are smoking something.

That would not have been Game Over in the Jamaican Bobsled game. That would be the part of the game where you transition to carrying your sled across the finish line. Someone didn't see Cool Runnings...I think everyone but me and Tina Fey.

You could just turn the 3D down while you're on the train, right?

@SixTwoSixFour: There is some psychology test where they write colors out but using a different hue for the letters, like BLUE written in red ink. And you're supposed to say the color written as fast as possible. It messes with your head.

@Anemone: Too true. I'm looking at you Bayonetta.

This is pretty easily remedied. Have a segment in a tutorial/early level and have a section blocked off with green barrels. The player has to shoot the green barrels to get through, they explode, problem solved. Isn't teaching players how to play your game part of good game design?

This reminds me, is the 3DS going to be backwards compatible? If so I may be trading in my DSi soon.

"The Kinect is a long skinny piece of equipment with a...camera..."

That's not hoarding, I have about that many games in my collection dating all the way back to the SNES and Genesis. Hell, sometimes I buy games I've already beaten just to have them in my collection. It's nice to have memories and something to pass on to your kids if you ever wanted to walk them through your

I have a secret for you...

@excaliburps: Well if you ever want to team-up, my PSN ID is Pachanas. I give myself an 8/10 as far as skill in that game, above average but not amazing (though I do have my spectacular matches occasionally :P). I haven't played in a while though.
