They didn’t “move” production to China. That would assume they stopped making cars in Sweden, Belgium, and Malaysia. They opened an additional factory in China, primarily to serve that market. 

I wouldn’t count on that being a long term plan. Other automakers are definitely behind, but they have financial and factory power that Tesla doesn’t have. VW already has the Taycan and E-Tron running around, soon they will have a mass product. Ford is soon to have the Rivian based F-150, which will sell like crazy.

If you want to bring up the regulatory credits, you should also remember the cost to build Sparks($5 Billion), Shanghai($2 Billion), Berlin($4.6 Billion), & soon Austin ($1 Billion).

Define long time? I am pretty sure PSA has electrics and hybrids of their own. Something that FCA has been sorely lacking. (Yes, FCA was their biggest buyer of credits).

Because the vaccine makers like making money and the US is a massive, lucrative market that will print them money. Also withholding vaccines from the US would be insanely self destructive. China and Europe need a healthy US economy.
