Guess I’m in the minority. I love Cadillacs. They don’t look like Benz’s, BMW’s and Audis, that all look like one another. They’re distinctive and very attractive to me and I’m a younger buyer. Don’t get the new obsession with Lincolns either.

Alanis, I really think the “blah” you talk about is entirely in the mind of the beholder. Cadillac’s cars aren’t just decent, they are really good. Jalopnik, for example, agreed with the rest of the auto media that the ATS was as good as the 3 series. And they look really good (yes, that’s subjective, of course, but

By all accounts Drew Brees is a tremendously decent human being. (I’m not a saints fan). I also happen to be a straight white male who is a Christian, and I find conversion therapy completely and utterly disgusting, an abuse of human rights, and unnecessary interference in someone’s life when you have no right to do

but that isn’t stopped Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke from taking issue with her latest.”

Way to ruin a Beetle. That flat-four chugging away is 80% of the charm of the things. If I wanted a golf cart, I would buy a golf cart.

Yup, that’s why I usually tip $10 in cash on my ride, which is usually somewhere in the area of $15-20.

The problem is that taxis suck and dedicated drivers are too expensive. If taxis were better, this whole thing wouldn’t have been a problem in the first place. Literally every experience I’ve had with rideshare companies has been better than every experience I’ve had with taxi companies.

if you pay someone to do a task eventually someone is going to realize that person is your employee

And this people is why we cant have nice things. When it started Uber was a side gig for people that already have jobs to make a few bucks on the side. Then a bunch of people decided to do it full time and bitch about how the system doesn’t work as they assume it should. Uber/Lyft didnt do anything to discourage this

Whats the price difference?

Why wouldn’t she?

Yeah but your mom does.

But they owe me a 10 second car.”-Din Viesel

a 2.0-liter turbo-four good for a claimed 528 horsepower and 372 lb-ft of torque.” To just the front wheels?

Texas has the 7th lowest state budget per capita. They are pretty good at keeping spending down generally. And as the OP said, they care more about local property taxes, because those tend to be larger and hit them more directly.

I think calling Texas a “red state” is a bit of oversimplification. It’s in many ways two states in one: a rural state and an urban state. Dallas/Houston/Austin/San Antonio/El Paso are majority Democratic. The suburbs are split, and the exurbs/rural, areas are deep red. Demographic changes mean it’s on the cusp of
