Rider is 100% responsible. It is extremely obvious that you are accepting surge pricing in the app. Uber used to hide it a bit, but you can’t accept a ride without seeing the surge pretty much in bold letters now. Also, she “added” a 93 mile detour to the airport after getting in the car...that sounds more than a bit

In the Uber app, there’s a huge fucking WARNING that says surge pricing is in effect. I can’t recall if it specifies just how much impact it will have though, because most of my business travel is in shitholes where no one else cares to go.

Ignorant Uberer here.

The underlying message of this series seems to be “People are so uniformly awful & stupid & annoying they should do the earth a favor and all just die.” The Walking Dead at least had the underlying message that “These people (mostly) don’t deserve the horrible things that are happening to them.”

LMOE broke me last year. For two and a half seasons I had bent over backwards trying to appreciate this show, or trying to at least be able to sit through it. I’m done. I wash my hands of the show.

I fucking hate Twitter. Facebook has many flaws, but aside from its maddening refusal to implement text formatting, there’s nothing inherently limiting about Facebook. You could post a fucking essay on facebook, and have actual conversation threads in response.

Twitter is by far the worse.

They have assumed the mantle of BMW drivers of the eighties.

Yeah, but enough already.

This entire skit is lifted from the internet. ScreenJunkies specifically has made fun of and called out the Papyrus shit before and I would be willing to bet someone else has also.

Russia being used as a boogie man to excuse fascism is getting old.

Who cares? I mean that honestly. Say Russia ran some Facebook adds to try and convince people to vote for independence. The Government fired rubber bullets and assaulted people for just voting. They threatened sedition charges against newspapers that published poll locations. They mass arrested people sympathetic to

It seems SNL is one of those longstanding American traditions that people want to keep around without any regard for its relevance or meaning, simply because it’s a “tradition.”

I really hate that Annie Liebovitz cover photo though. Kate looking ultra-pale and grim, wearing a be-clowned dunce cap. Liebovitz is an unimaginative hack.

That last sketch was totally a warmed over version of What’s Up With That? and seemed to go on FOREVER. In fact it went so long that they had to basically cut out the goodnights.

Nice of you to show up, dude. Guy who’s only message for years has been “Man...it’s so hard being this rich off of songs about it’s so hard being this rich.”

Can someone please explain to me why anyone would think that a viral twitter campaign to get rich celebrities to post pre-pubescent pics of themselves for donations is a classy idea. Cause to me, and maybe I’ll totally off, but to me it seems as dumb and privileged as hell when these people are trying their best to

Deadspin mental gymnastics at its finest

Deadspin: Cops are RAYCESS! The video proves it!

God, the mental gymnastics some of you will go through before just admitting that he, at worst, totally lied or, at best, greatly exaggerated his arrest is unreal, yet somehow unsurprising. The three cops in the video — all fellow minorities by the way — briefly detained him for a few minutes, let him go based on a
