Adding a turbo is different than swapping a 1.8L and adding a turbo. Also, a turbo on a 1.6L (if you decide no to swap it for the 1.8L) is probably going to get you at or under 200HP for 10psi.

So the stock-V8 swap is bad because complexity, but the I4 swap with an added turbocharger system is good...How much torque would you get from a 1.8T? The Cobra engine has 280lb-ft. A 1.8L with 10lb of boost will get close to the 5.0L engine, but it’s missing a lot of torque. Plus, a 235HP 5.0L crate engine is $2,900.…
