“Baltimore!”
FYI, there is not Oppositelock Facebook group. There’s Oppositelock (full of wholesome content and the iron grip of the Mods), and Oppositetalk (a Facebook-based offshoot started because people whined about Kinja).
Pffttt. That requires work. I’ll just keep whining about it.
I nuked my Dana 18 in my CJ and was thinking about a Dana 300 too, but then remembered I’ve got both offset axles to worry about, and the 300 may not even fit. I’m going to get a rebuilt unit from Herm the Overdrive guy and see how that does for me.
I was under the impression that the Holy Grail of Jeeps is a CJ-7 with a factory 304c.i. V8, manual trans, and Dana 300 transfer case (Golden Hawk or Golden Eagle).

You’re right - I bought my ‘17.5 in 2018, so it must have been the 2018 Accord I was looking at. The 1.5T was tempting but for similar power it had fewer options.
I cross-shopped a 2017 2.0T Accord with my 2017.5 Mazda 6 Touring. The Accord was $30K and I don’t think it had nav or heated seats, and the Mazda was $5K cheaper (with nav and heated front seats), and I didn’t really want to spend that much on a new car.

That’s a lot of work for less than $40K a year, and they need to know what they’re doing since wheels could have a tendency to fall the fuck off. Plus I was thinking California wages. I’m sure $35K would be the sweet spot in some locations.
They probably lease the vans and all their equipment which is still a cost. A $35,000 box truck would cost a business something like $900 a month over 5 years if their credit is OK and they’ve only been in business for ~2 years. Imagine that but spread over a dozen vehicles and you’ve got $108,000 in lease payments,…

This statement would be more accurate if it was just “there are mods”.
I’ve seen a garage complex that had about a dozen and a half 4-door Continentals, I think 2-3 were convertibles.
Is that...a BA10/5 transmission handle I see sticking out of there?
I think CupcakKe did a pretty good version.
Apropos of nothing, I appreciate your input. That being said, the 4.0L is more reliable than almost anything else Jeep put into a vehicle. I can’t imagine what those people did to fuck up an engine that I managed to get over a quarter million miles on with just routine maintenance.
And if my aunt had a dick she’d be my uncle - what’s your point?
