This confirms my suspicions that Nextdoor people are terrible.
No I really need the grief on this one - if I get enough shit I might start researching before I comment on stuff.
...those are FDR’s initials.
hello i am helping as per your request
It’s not your fault - I should have looked up CF symptoms before doubling-down on my little semantics crusade.
Even after reading the article I still had to find out from another commenter that CF has a 97% infertility rate among men. Gee wouldn’t it have been nice to put that in the article.
and CF makes men mostly infertile.
Yep just found out. Looks like I need a mulligan on this whole thread.
Ah see this is me not knowing and learning. Got it.
It seems harsh to say they can’t have a baby because of her husband’s genetic disorder, rather than they have chosen not to.
I think she doesn’t want to give birth naturally for fear of the child having CF. It’s not a question of can’t or wouldn’t. I don’t blame her one bit, but it seems disingenuous to posit her husband’s genetic disorder as the reason they can’t have a baby - they definitely could.
If that’s the case there’s a difference between the ability to give birth naturally vs. choosing not to have a child out of concern for a genetic disorder.
“she probably wouldn’t be able to give birth naturally because her husband has cystic fibrosis”
I’m typing up your GoFundMe as you read this.
“I really do want to know the answer to this question”
Don’t bullshit me I know a Honda Ridgeline when I see it.
sway bar end links, sunroof shade, peeling pillar trim, inoperable trip computer button, oil going somewhere I have no idea, but goodness gracious I love driving it.
You too? All is forgiven in my E46 when I get on a winding back road.
Truth on that E46 ownership.
