People like executing murderers - makes politicians look good and tough. People don’t like discussing line items and increasing taxes to sort out legislation and get the prison systems corrected.

The judgment handed to her by the state of Georgia and a jury of her peers is by definition not a wrong. It is justice. How is it wrong to humanely kill someone who had someone else killed out of malice? She did it once why wouldn’t she do it again?

Incorrect - it is an additional $1M to keep her alive. Most of the cost of a death sentence is the trial itself, running around $400k. It is $90,000 per year to keep her on death row. General population is around $30,000 a year. Her execution would probably cost $90 in drugs, but more accurately an additional $350,000…

It fixes a $90,000 per year line item on a prison budget. Or we could just release her and send that message that if you plan to kill your loved ones you’ll eventually get your freedom back.

What’s the point of rehabilitation if you’re going to get a life sentence without parole? Rehabilitation would mean you’re being prepared to enter back into society, but no chance of parole means that will never happen.

She only made those differences after plotting and succeeding to kill her husband.
