Scientology isn’t a religion. A religion likes to explain to you how it views the world, it’s fundamental purpose, its secrets. Judaism tells you to follow God’s commandments and you’ll do well. Here’s a bunch of books where you can find them at your convenience. Christianity tells you to worship God and Jesus and

As an Alaskan, I agree 100%. It is a constant struggle up here to keep greedy and short sighted folk from digging, drilling, and blasting everything in sight.

You guys have an amazingly beautiful state and some really weird liquor laws.

There’s a chance no one will see this as I’m a lowly grey, but I think this is weird enough to post about....

In somewhat good news, most experts reviewing the Antiquities Act believe that there is little he can do to recind monuments designated under the act. That is the whole point of it. Even with all the crying here in Utah (I’m a Utahn) of ‘this is an abuse’ and also, ‘wah wah wah’ because all they want is to use the

I hate him. I hate him so much.

Among his sins against the American people is how O’Reilly weaponized the ignorance of some in his audience. He help found the current cadre of far-right thought leaders and helped push their ideas to the mainstream.

It doesn’t matter if you call it “abuse”, it’s abuse. It also doesn’t work. I’m sorry that you were put through that as a child, truly. You can help others by not normalizing it.

I am not one to be all “think of the children!” but after months of playing OW I’ve concluded that competitive multiplayer games are no place for children and that’s even without considering the chat. I’ve come across so many kids in OW that do not have the temperament to handle the stress and end up shutting down

So much this, when I play overwatch a stream of expletives is continuously falling from my lips. Is the n-word, or any racial slur among them? No. Because that’s never even been in my lexicon of acceptable words to say. Ever.

I wish the US had reasonable limitations. People are taking their free speech a little too far nowadays, and it’s getting kind of scary how angry they get when you tell them that they are going too far. Especially in the areas where the same kind of people who take it to the extreme also tend to have firearms.

I either get weird reactions because I’m a woman or when they can hear that I’m German. Then there are the creepy ones who are a bit too happy about my ancestry.

The scary thing is that in my (limited, anecdotal) experience, people who do this kind of thing truly think they’re not the only ones. It’s very likely that they’ve grown up seeing family and friends use slurs casually, so their problem with “SJWs” isn’t just that we’re uptight, it’s that we’re lying.

I actually went to school with someone who handled disputes this way in real life. When you argued with him, he would start screaming “faggot” at you louder and louder until you gave up talking to him.

Hope you plan on keeping your kids locked in the house for the rest of your life because they’re going to run into it someday. Be it from other kids, coaches, tv, media etc. Not that I disagree with your reasoning I would do the same thing if I had young kids. It just sad that you can’t protect them from having to

I eagerly await the “look, everyone’s done that” defense - no they fucking don’t. I am a white person and I assure you (not you specifically; “you” in the hypothetical sense) that I have never burst into racist screaming when with only other white people or when alone. Never.
When people say “everyone’s done it”

One thing that has bugged me about competitive e-sports is that a lot of that competitiveness has leaked into casual play, and with that follows toxic behavior.

My experience with shitty bro-dicks in professional environments disputes this. Whispered racial and homophobic slurs are the cornerstone of every douchebro in a salaried office.

The Shade Grand Jury rules the case can proceed.
