I follow a similar rule of thumb to what others here have said: as long as it’s a fairly responsible adult. And with that said, I LOVE to let people drive my current ride if they are the type to appreciate it. I generally don’t have especially interesting cars (the last few have been: Altima, Pacifica, Roadmaster…
Truth. Back in high school in the ‘80s I had a ‘73 Nova 307 with Gabriel HiJackers, a $50 set of Hedman Hedders, a cast-iron intake and Quadrajet robbed off God knows what, a set of Actron gauges, and I don’t remember what all else. I do know that I got a pair of Mercury Cougar bucket seats at a swap meet and they sat…
But oh, the epilogue...
Hey now. Zima was my jam.
I had this made up for the front of my Mustang when I first got it. (No front tag in PA, but the holes were there from the previous owner so I had to put something there.)
Ford has done this before. They went back and forth with Toyota over the name of the Tundra, which was introduced as the T150, and the Lincoln LS, which was originally going to be LS6 and LS8.
Shame this is buried in the comments... it’s kinda COTD-worthy
My uncle had two different Fords in the ‘70s. It’s been a while since I heard him tell the story, so I only remember that one was a Pinto; no idea what model the other was. He told me that he brought the two ignition keys to a locksmith and had a single ignition key cut with two different sets of teeth, one on each…
As as a kid, I know I had my plate memorized. I think I even knew my brother’s and my girlfriend’s. But at some point, I stopped remembering them. Probably around the time I got married and started having kids and my brain got full of important grown-up stuff.
My brother has had one of these for years (4wd automatic though) and he loves it. Only problem is it’s throwing a code/CEL for evap system leak and his mechanic tells him the parts are hard to find and expensive.
I wondered if anyone would get around to saying V6 Mustang. This is mine.
“Gilligan is actually Freb, and Freb can order pizzas like nobody’s business.”
Late to the party, but what the hell.
Same boat. Two of our four back seat passengers have moved out.
I’m with you on this. My wife’s last two cars have been new Kia Sedonas. She liked them both very much. As far as I’m concerned, the ‘05 was kind of a slug, but the ‘09 is significantly less unpleasant to drive. Knock on wood, they have been very good from a repair/maintenance standpoint. I would be more than happy…
