Q: Why would you offer a four-cylinder in the Camaro? Didn’t you learn your lesson with the Iron Duke?

Had them on a ‘70 Monte Carlo. They were most definitely the shiz.

I just saw one of these parked at a store a couple weeks ago. The console and floor shifter surprised the shit out of me. 5K would definitely be Nice Price. 7500... well, maybe because the miles are low... still on the fence here.

Every time I see another article on this thing, I can’t help but think:

I had a Pacifica with the same audio controls on the back of the steering wheel. It's one of the features I really miss about that car.

Interesting. I just discovered this band last week when I found out they did a cover of "What A Fool Believes" by the Doobie Brothers. It was weird, but I've replayed it a few times since then, so I guess it must not be too bad.

That being said, the current Camaro just rubs me wrong. It looks like the designers spent all day making sure the car looked good in pictures from 1 angle. Any other angle, they just said "Screw it. We have deadlines to make".

I'm kinda digging the whole package, though it will make me sad if they don't find a V8 to put in it.

is it really really bad that I like that movie?

I always had a thing for fat chicks...

There's a guy who does the local cruise nights with a metallic burgundy 2-door fastback Buick about this age. It's got to be the most beautiful car I've ever seen from this era. It looks completely original from the outside, but at some point he pulled the old straight 8 and put a Buick 455/TH400 in it. I'm thinking

Kip, man, that ain't a tool, that's a damn brick! You gonna use a brick, we might as well call ahead to prison and make reservations!

I still put it on in the dungeon-er, I mean basement when I'm down there running hot laps on my HO scale slot car track...

I always carried around Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars for as long as I could remember. As soon as I was old enough, I had slot cars, and model cars, and R/C cars, and a bunch of Beach Boys albums with car songs on them. Bought my first car ('70 Malibu) the summer before I turned 16 (1985) for something like $100. It

I actually had a '92, and I LOVED it, even though that was before the LT1 engine, mine was just a TBI 350. But the transmission puked at 180K, and there were too many other little things... it was nickel-and-diming me to death, so I let it go. Even with the bad tranny and full disclosure of all the little crap, I got

There's that faith in humanity thing again

1995 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon.

See, now, this is my speed. This or a Roadmaster. Make it a Roadmaster Estate Wagon, even.

The timing of this post is perfect for me. I've been dreaming of picking up a DD a little more inspiring than my '07 Altima (mad CVT, brah) and making a mental list of options. Just a couple days ago, I noticed one of these in a local parking lot. Problem was, it was (poorly) painted a hideous late '80s turquoise
