hahahaha always loved that clip
Back in college I lusted for one of these in that electric blue... NP.
Agreed on simple audio buttons. The one thing I really miss about my Pacifica is the radio buttons on the BACK of the steering wheel... They were intuitive, they worked great, and I find myself looking for them all the time on my new DD.
Beautiful. Can't decide which I like better, this or the hatchback. I always thought Celicas with this roofline looked kinda like a first gen Camaro, and the hatchback cars look like a circa 1969 Mustang Mach I.
Yeah, I never liked them either. That design needs 5 spokes. Cragar S/Ss, I think.
Jeezis, you had to link to the Mr. Hands article? If you had just mentioned it, I might not have been curious enough to Google it, but that pretty blue link was just irresistible...
I immediately thought of the vid someone posted a few weeks back where the guy decided to dougie out into traffic and was whacked by an ice cream truck.
I like this one better. I first read this article like a zillion years ago and it still makes me laugh.
Not only do I prefer third-person, but I wish I could find a controller like the old InterAct UltraRacer. Works pretty much like an R/C car controller... one hand steers, the other trigger finger pulls to accelerate, pushes for brake/reverse. Weird, I know... but I haven't found one of those goofy fake steering…
Chambersburg. right off 81.
HAHAHA that's funny, i gotta use that. i moved to southern central PA (about an hour south of Harrisburg) from LI about 20 years ago, and all my friends from the Isle of Long think i live in the sticks. they're right, pretty much.
Augh, those wheel wells... it's like someone was reading the Aurora Thunderjet Hop-Up Hints booklet.
*Maybe, this is where Durant got the idea, "Pronounced Shev-Ro-Lay."*
I'll just leave this here.
Preach. I grew up on LI, met my wife in college at Stony Brook. She was from Brooklyn. I spent 4 years visiting her there, lived there for a year after college, got married and moved to PA, and went back to visit her mom there a few times a year till she finally moved upstate a couple years ago. Still have to drive…
Congrats on the COTD. I love the old barges myself, though I never drove one for a living. Were there any Checkers still in service when you were in the game?
ninja'd
yeah, i guess in retrospect, my original post could come off as kinda douchey. i'm all for protecting the little ones and driving safely around schools... i just have to remember to REALLY crawl along the stretch of road i mentioned. 25 just seems SO.DAMN.SLOW...
