if you’re going to let corporate drones treat you like trash and come back for more then you deserve their contempt

There’s no “getting used to” the official app. It’s utter junk. You can’t find what you want because your feed is stuffed with spam, ads and suggestions filling 8 out of every 10 items.
The protest wasn’t about charging for the API but the excessive charges and expecting everything to be in place in four weeks
Steve, is that you?
Oh I know what game they are referencing. I’m just curious as to what they think would count as a sequel. Because the argument itself is just stupid on its face.
two things, 1. i think it’s worth acknowledging that i’d be more annoyed about performance issues had i paid $60 and not received a review copy 2. things should be expensive to compensate workers well and fairly, but most of a video games’ $60 is not going to the people that made it (as far as i know).
i’d love to see…
The tech *is* cool af, but “embrace it or get out of the way” is an incomplete line of thought: these AI programs could have to address a lot of legal loopholes and copyright issues that they’ve been skirting around and not mentioning. For example, if the AI is using Bobby’s art as a sample to create the art,…
Happily. Go fuck yourself.
right, but they’re only enamoured because it’s an opportunity to make money
How could they miss the mark so hard by making all the art opt-in by default? At first glance it seemed like they were at least asking for permission unlike... every other AI out there... so the concept didn’t sound that bad but then they completely ruined everything.
Sooo, another thing that makes DreamUp terrible...
I tried it out, and prompted it to make a Monkey Scientist wearing goggles, aaand, 2 out of 3 of the images it generated was of a black man wearing glasses... So yeah, AI is kinda racist.
I honestly have no idea how people make anything remotely interesting with these…
The answer is money (at all costs) because thats all the answer ever is
The concept of being post-scarcity means that everybody’s physical needs are met. Everybody has food, shelter, and medical care. You do not have to work simply to keep yourself alive.
I guess I have two things to say here
“Made with love, by heartless robots!”
Lost Ark peaked 1.2 million viewers, nearly 50% more than Elden Ring’s peak viewership so far. If you’re going to start a meaningless pissing contest over numbers, at least compare like for like.
I think what makes it an even weirder criticism for this game is that it was clear in Horizon Zero Dawn that they were looking at as a game series and instead of cramming all those answers instantly there, they were building those hints with the sense that the answers would be coming. There’s a lot of stuff in HZD…
To me it’d be a bit like reading “but the problem with this Call of Duty is that it’s too bombastic” or “the problem with this Halo entry is the frequent use of chanting in the score”.
“It’s not solely a problem with Horizon Forbidden West, nor is it a problem limited to video games. You see it across popular genre fiction these days, as everything from Star Wars to the Marvel Cinematic Universe doubles down on plot over people, going so far as to fill in backstories for enigmatic characters who…
It’s slightly different in this case, as the three woman who made the allegations were all close friends and two of them had nasty break-ups with Avellone years before the allegations were made.
