For me, it’s just the “stiffness” and the nature of most JRPGs nowadays that makes them not feel as great as they used to back in the day. Perhaps I’m spoiled by the big modern RPGs and open world/exploration games of today, but there’s just not as much nuance as I’d like in FF7R. NPCs still feel very one-dimensional,

They unveiled a new mode, and all they have for the announcement is some key art and... a map image? Do they not care about it?

Looks interesting. But seeing bits of a city here makes me want to see a Far Cry entirely in a giant city, as opposed to the almost cookie cutter “wilderness slash settlements and outposts” maps Ubisoft keeps putting in almost all of their games.

This... actually looks pretty funny.

I do hope there’s a few bigger nods to the games. Like references to the different characters and their abilities or something.

I always assumed it was just blood dripping from his ribcage/organs.

Intrigued, but... that was a pretty terrible trailer/teaser.

Ah yes. Can’t wait to attempt to get this for the console I have been trying to get for months, with no success.

Holy wow. ZAMN is deeply embedded within my DNA. I can’t wait to play this again, especially with my partner. I can already hear the big baby level...

Yeah I really enjoyed WD2. I was initially excited for WD Legion, but after the trailers and gameplay footage, it looked a bit too wacky for my tastes.

She looks like Nilin from Remember Me.

Also... mind control powers? What are they doing with these games?

Edit: Jesus christ what is going on with the comment system here. Tried to attach an image and nothing works. Attempting to post a link...

I think the thing that bothered me the most about them was the giant hole in their backs where we’re supposed to ride? I never read any lore on them, so... is that like a natural hole or is it carved into them? Either way, it made me uneasy.

For me (as someone who’s incredibly picky about his anime), it was the animation quality and the serious tone for most of the show. I absolutely fell in love with the show, but also... I cannot stand the comical/annoying parts with Zenitsu and Inosuke.

All the annoying parts are, imo, worth Episode 19 alone, though. :)

It’s the “brake lights” of game UI design. You see red and flashing, you know something’s wrong, and you either adjust what you’re doing to avoid it, or just ignore it and die.

If there’s a better way of doing it out there, that way would be implemented in more games by now. But I’m thinking the “red flashing screen”

If you live near an Outback Steakhouse, they have the same thing, but it’s called a “Bloomin’ Onion”. It’s pretty good, imo.

That’s great, but what point is there to “knowing exactly what it is”? Outside of the few remaining armor pieces that actually do unique things (like raid armor holding raid mods), there’s not much point. Even then, if someone’s wearing, say, IB armor ornaments or Raid armor ornaments transmog’d over other gear, you

If someone played me that Ghostbusters song, my first thought would be “Is this from Murder She Wrote?” and my second thought would be “If not, is this from some sort of Fosse musical?”

Have you not been on Twitch in the past.... MANY years? It may have started as gaming and gaming-adjacent, but just glance at some of the top categories these days, and you’ll see that’s kinda not the case now.

Wait, you expect to understand the story without playing the game or experiencing events?

That is the saddest looking generic no-haired white male hero video game character I have ever seen.

Look, if lowly modders can make it so Keanu Reeves goes down on me in Cyberpunk, Bioware can easily add LGBT stuff back into Mass Effect.
