Agreed. I feel bad that he was just a regular semi-talented kid once, and somehow since then he's been turned into a Walking Bag of Dicks, (and I agree that he had little-to-no agency in getting molded into a dickbag.)

The herding instinct/trait is the cutest dog trait. My german sheppard/rottie mix Yeti would head-butt us in the legs, especially in protective mode. I'm pretty sure he thought he was walking us, not the other way around.

Oh man someone did this in my high school when I was a sophomore! It was a horror show. My English teacher caught a bunch and kept them in a tupperware in her desk, and then if kids weren't paying attention she'd bring it out and shake it at them, (read: me). ARGH. I was so happy the next class just dyed the pool.

we did this to my marching band director! Only with inflatable ducks (they might have been pool toys). I think the ducks were significant, but I can't remember why now.

Its GREAT for source images, especially vintage photography/art. These stats are surprising to me mostly because I've stayed in the design/art sections more than fashion or home decor. Its only noticeable in the round of "inspirational quotes" (more like insipid sayings in terrible fonts)

I agree that there should be more books from other countries. Especially because so many of these books get revisited in college, (if you go) and the English ones are probably more readily available if you don't. It makes sense to expand the horizons as much as possible while they're young, right?

This was the book that got me to realize I hate the "all of these characters are assholes" trope. Does not matter if the prose is good (and it wasn't that good), I need to be able to sympathize with someone .

Okay yeah then Maeloc should be a hit. Blackberry is amaaaazing.

Not sure about wine, but I superduper like sweet ciders. Its like sparkling apple juice (or lots of other flavors like blackberry) with about the same ABV as most beer. Maeloc is my favorite, I just discovered it. Its REALLY sweet though, some are more dry (like Cidre from Stella Artois)
