I can remember floor mounted stick shifts being used where there was a bench seat. When I was a kid my dad had an ‘85 S-10 with a manual; I have “fond” memories of him shifting gears with the stick coming perilously close to some very sensitive areas.

I went and saw Carlin on one of his later tours sometime around ‘03-’04. I’m really glad I did, what a legend.

Yes, what made sense in the 1790s still makes sense today, let’s never change it.

If the presidency were decided by popular vote like it should be George HW Bush would be the last Republican elected to the office, and Thomas would be the only conservative on the court. Just think about that.

Many years ago someone dropped a turd on the carpeted (for some reason) floor of the ladies room. The culprit remains a mystery.

Yet you give it a B-? If it is truly bad shouldn’t it get a D+ or lower?

Deep down they have to know the religious element is absurd on its face”

I enjoy actual daylight as most other people probably do. Artificial “daylight” from a bulb just feels cold and sterile to me, and makes me look about 10 years older.

I’m not saying I don’t like customization. What I mean is that to me fast food is where you order a burger and it has a standard list of ingredients that you can subtract from if needed. A place like Five Guys where you have to proactively tell them what you want on your burger would not meet that definition if that

Have we had the debate around here on what should be considered fast food? About 15 years ago we had a very heated debate about this in my old office. My stance was that to be considered fast food the majority of locations must have drive-thrus, and the default order shouldn’t involve customization.

1. That’s super hard to say. It’s not really in my capacity to set incentives, it is part of my job to analyze how they would impact sales. I can tell you at the OEM I work for there is always constant battle between the sales and marketing folks within the brands and the finance/accounting folks who would of course

I’m a sales analyst for a major automaker (not Ford). We are starting to see some segments being to be driven once again by “normal” factors instead of primarily inventory like it has been for the last ~15 months. Incentives will return, especially in high-margin segments.

I’m someone who imbibes multiple times per week, so I am not at all anti-weed. That said, I can see news headlines for something that is bound to happen at some point; You know how once in a while you will see a news story where Applebee’s will accidentally serve a child alcohol in their beverage? Imagine the outcry

I’ve suggested the non-round Weber bamboo skewers in the comments around here several times. The only store near me where I can always find them is Home Depot, I’d recommend others look there if they are seeking them out.

Crafty!

I don’t actively track how long my bulbs last, but I know I seem to change them just as often as I used to.

I mentioned the kitchen, but I notice this issue with almost all of my LED lights. I’ve gotten used to it, but if it weren’t for the wasted energy I’d much prefer the old bulbs. I also don’t notice them lasting longer than traditional bulbs, it seems like I change them just as often as I changed any lightbulbs in the

When LED bulbs started to become the norm I hated them because I thought they all gave off sterile light that made my house look like the hallways of a hospital. I then learned I needed to buy lights from the warmer end of the color spectrum. They are much closer to incandescent bulbs, but still not perfect IMO. The

Hey, we live in the same area. Manure in the car wouldn’t be ideal. I hope you enjoy the Maverick, it seems like a great vehicle and I wish I could consider one. I don’t work for Ford, so it’s of outside of what I’d consider buying. Sometimes I hate being more or less limited to the OEM I work for.
