I feel for you there. I actually work in sales analysis for a major automaker, so I follow the currently supply issues very closely. Regarding your statement, it’s probably a fair bet that you will like a brand new modern vehicle more than your 30 year old Honda, but I guess you won’t know for sure until you get it.

Funny you say that, as I’ve worked as an analyst in the auto industry as an analyst for 15 years. I don’t know if my writing skills are up to par though. It has been sad watching that site decline over the years. I started reading it around ‘08, and it’s night and day different today. Really the same with this whole

A simple thing got me to use my cast iron skillet way more often that I used to; that thing was buying a lid for my pan. As silly as it seems, one thing that prevented me from using my skillet was the fact that I didn’t have a convenient way of covering the food to keep it warm after I was done cooking. I also use a

I used to do that, but I found that if I use the probably amount of fat when cooking even nasty looking buildup cleans up very easily in the sink. It’s either that, or my pan is just well-seasoned from a lot of use.

“Full disclosure: This author has never eaten at Taco Bell. Honestly, he prefers Chipotle Mexican Grille.”

Yeah, I really don’t get the point of this “hack”. Part of the reason I prefer going to a restaurant is so that I don’t have to cook, the other is eating foods I can’t easily produce at home. Buying ingredients with a restaurant markup for something super basic so that I can make it at home doesn’t make much sense to

Amen to that. Our cat’s kidneys were failing when she was only 11 years old. The vet had us trying to give her IV fluids to keep her alive. She was also urinating everywhere, so we confined her to a small half bathroom. That felt incredibly cruel, but we weren’t about to let her destroy everything in our house with

It’s a pretty sad burrito. You might as well go to Kroger and buy a couple cans of pinto beans, some Mexican cheese, and a pack of tortillas. The cash outlay would be a bit more, but you could have quite a few bean burritos that way.

This has been a huge benefit of working from home on quiet days when our kids are in school. By the time we go to bed most nights we are just exhausted. Having the daytime option is wonderful.

She’s been taking Wellbutrin/Bupropion for a few years now. I don’t know if it works for everyone, but her drive is stronger than it’s ever been, including the time before she took any meds.

A couple of pharmaceutical interventions have really improved things for us. First and foremost was my wife finding the right antidepressant that both improved those symptoms and didn’t also kill her sex drive. This took a long time.

Interesting take. Does this extend to my fuse box? I’ve been thinking of finally upgrading to a breaker box, but don’t know if the juice is worth the squeeze. It didn’t really scare us off when we bought the house, but I’m sure there are some folks who it would be a no-go for.

The suburbs go up heavily, but they are still a lot less expensive than many other metro markets in the US. If you hadn’t guessed I’m also a Detroit area resident. You can get a decent house for a family in a nice area for $350k here, that isn’t true in a lot of places. Heck, you can still get a decent house in a safe

Food should be well-seasoned already

Nobody listed column shifters. I realize there are still a handful of vehicles they are available on, but column shifters just make more sense in an automatic vehicle because they free up space on the center console. Yes buttons would make even more sense, but there is something satisfying about a column shifter. I’m

Why not have both? I buy maple syrup at Costco where it is priced somewhat better per ounce than it is at most places. We also keep Mrs. Buttersworth on hand. The good maple syrup is reserved for homemade pancakes/waffles/French toast on weekends. The cheap stuff gets used for the kids’ Eggo products during the week.

While I use an exhaust fan while cooking, I don’t think the majority of buyers would see the lack of an external exhaust vent as a huge issue. In my observation very few people actually use a fan when they cook at home.

Some of these things are controllable, others are not. Some of them would be worth addressing before selling, while others wouldn’t. We are looking to sell our house in the not too distant future. It has a huge lack of storage space which is one of the reasons we are selling. This is something that can’t really be

Begging for death? It’s still funny, and people still watch. Larry David the character is awful, but is there a lot of evidence that Larry David the person is garbage?

Best comedy series?
