I would guess that most animals would get to a point where they were unable to move and eat, and thus starve, before they “died of old age.”  That presumes that no predator catches up to their old, slow selves and dispatches them with a bit more panache.

I would just expect that the White House kitchen and staff would know pretty well how to put on an event of pretty much any size with any conditions imaginable.  If they can do white tie state dinners, they can lay out a spread for a football team, with whatever added resources they bring in.
