They could have made a different decision about running it, but once they made the decision, backing off would have been wrong, because on principle, they were right.

It’s not hard to feel bad at all.
That may be true, but they’re being punished for things they should not be punished for, via a system that was meant to ensure justice, not be used as a tool for arbitrary vengeance.
I will take the answer, because clearly it was not a serious question, but a rhetorical device for pointing out the stupidity of people who thought that reporters trying to ask Marshawn Lynch questions in the lockerroom was so they could “get rich off clicks”.
An NFL franchise is a bigger deal... Also, the Cleveland logo is worse, but the Washington name is just a straight-up slur.
Cleveland at least appears to be tryign to transition to a ‘C’ logo, but agreed. A few years ago, Snyder could’ve stood on a stage triumphantly with actual legitimate American Indians and announced a new name, and sold an incredibly lucrative new line of merchandise that said authentic Indians might even have been…
Because “the Indians” are not actually a homogeneous group that can/should be lumped into one.
Interesting... when Lynch refused to talk to reporters covering him and his team, everyone seemed to be of the firm opinion that there was no need for any stories focusing on Lynch... “Everything I need to know about him, I can see on the field!” I believe was the refrain... and reporters seeking to cover him were…
Zuck shouldn’t automatically dismiss Thiel. He should think about it carefully and then do it.
Oh please.
Well, it can’t be real outrage, because that would be absurd... and unless you are Thiel, he would gladly run you over... if you are Thiel, do you still support Trump now that he’s seeking sex tapes on people?
LOL... your fake outrage for someone who would run you over if he had the opportunity is amazing!
Because he’s a douchebag and a bully and he continues to try to manipulate the American system to his advantage... why on Earth would they “give up”?
The question is how painfully and how much I suffer before I die.
Tell them the computer is off... tell them it will take a while to load... beg them to stay with you because this is very upsetting, set phone down for two minutes... come back and say it has started, but now there’s a message saying that Windows needs to install updates and restart, put down phone for five minutes...…
Yeah, it’d be nice if you could silo the world into “tech” and “politics”, etc. But you can’t.
You think that’s a hot take?
Those laws require political will to enforce. The ag industry is very powerful in Washington. It’s not naive or a waste of time to think about it, especially since we’re not talking about the corduroy industry or the rug business. It’s the basic ingredients of all of our food. It’s naive to not at least talk about it.…
I think they’re mostly wrong, but I think some of them actually arrive at their political beliefs out of sincere belief in misguided principles. For example, if you’re a selfish person, some of their policies are very smart. I don’t think they are dumb, I think they are selfish.
Yeah, monopolies can be prevented and can be broken naturally... but waiting for a company with greater financial heft overall but smaller market share to do it, isn’t really a great way. That’d be like if you relied on Standard Oil to buy up railroads to keep any one railroad company from getting too powerful.
