It’s one thing to be supportive of it and whatever it claims to be supporting, but when people’s commutes are fucked up, trash isn’t picked up, mail isn’t delivered, [insert any other basic service], it quickly turns normal apolitical people into raging monsters looking to punish someone and it’s usually the person in

It does seem like it could quickly turn into an issue like snow removal... if you fuck up normal people’s lives long enough, it doesn’t matter your partisan alliance or whatever else you’ve done, you’re going to pay the price for commutes being disrupted, trash not being picked up, etc.

It WAS a great car.

And that AI’s name is Max Verstappen.

A protest that has no actual public support doesn’t seem like it should be this hard to deal with.

I meant dealing with it on the US side when those morons try it here, but if you’re going to be pedantic, I’ve heard that Canadians also have law enforcement officers.

What rights are being trampled? You break the law, you get arrested. Then your dumb truck gets towed.

Tow truck drivers are also not known for being shy about their willingness to do dangerous things for the right price.

Sounds like you need some more troopers. Also, the threat of being assaulted and trucks vandalized doesn’t stop them from doing any other part of the job when the money is good enough. Seems like the money could be made good enough.

yes, that is true. you don’t have to be this way.

I don’t understand why this can’t be solved by some state troopers and a fleet of tow trucks.

you sound like someone who would demand sympathy for your problems.

You sound mentally ill.

As long as they don’t put on insanely loud generators, I don’t care if they are sleeping in a fancy interior.

Just based on the fact that the overly-passive driver is almost certainly going slower than the overly-aggressive driver, it’s almost certainly inherently safer, but it can still be dangerous.

There’s a difference between the ability to customize and negotiate on a high-end purchase and feeling like you must constantly fend off predatory attempts to get you something you don’t want at a price you don’t want.

You’re describing a good relationship with a single car dealer who is extremely unlike nearly every other car dealer. The fact that you don’t go out looking to try out the way other car dealers do business suggests you understand very well why most people dislike the process and the fact that you have a unique

“I take a lot of steps and go to a lot of trouble myself to try and avoid the many traps and obstacles that people who I plan on giving tens of thousands of dollars to will try to ambush me with! I don’t understand why people would find this system unenjoyable!”

It’s one thing to offer to pay for someone else’s coffee, unsolicited, but obligating people through a chain is stupid.

Sounds like it could be totally awful, but here would be my train of thought: “Well, at least a dealership isn’t getting my money!”
