The funny thing is, they made a joke about the fifth ring not opening when they produced the closing ceremonies which really surprised me.

Dude. Coming up on 10 years since a razor last touched my cheeks and for the first time I'm thinking of shaving clean because of Internet Beard Culture. I wish it would go away.
I wonder how many flannel shirted, bearded lumberjacks there are that feel the same way?
Everybody is going to praise it and nobody will dare speak ill of it (even though it's dick ugly and looks like something that my art teacher would have given an F- for in class), cause everything Apple and Jobs is sacred to the Apple masses...
If he wants a Canadian look, he'll load up on Roots®.
They'll have a hard time keeping out the Canadians
There are almost no people in Asia with soybean allergies, so it was touted when first brought to the US as "allergy-free". But that's just because everyone in Asia with soy allergies died off a long time ago.
I worked in the IT dept of several old large federal government and private sector organizations and it was maddening how far behind the times we were in our OS and normal applications. Besides the bureaucracy of a large org, most of the folks in charge were boomers near retirement and simply didn't want to leave the…
allergies are a form of weakness.

Okay, link (i.e., QR code) to deals, promotions, discounts, etc. I think its a pretty damn good idea.
Not being familiar with driving in snow doesn't make someone an idiot, but attempting to drive in it when they're incapable of doing so DOES make them stupid.
That doesn't make it less funny...
Oh…and I have lived all over the country. I know how to drive in snow, own snow chains etc. Many people here are from the north. So if being from the north were magical then we would not have problems. Please don't be fooled by you preconceived ideas of folk's in the South. One thing to take in consideration is the…
You could always walk on the side of a 2 lane highway with icy roads and just pray the whole time :p
I don't think it has anything to do with being "used" to it. I wasn't comfortable driving in the snow the first 3 - 5 times I had to, but even then I magically managed to not spin out or crash into anything. It boils down to just using a little bit of common sense. I have a 300HP real wheel drive car and I managed to…
agreed. i used to live way out in the boonies of ohio… where the roads straight up don't get plowed. when i was 16 and first got my license i didn't get in any wrecks. i had never driven in the snow before but still wasn't fool enough to drive at full speed, take sharp corners, made sure to pump those brakes, etc…
It was 76 here in Oklahoma Sunday and then 15 on Monday. We handled it and no one went lone survivalist either. It is the fact people there can't handle it, not that it was a huge crippling storm. You all need to stop making it out like a deadly storm battered the area for days. It was 1-3 inch of snow......
In Atlanta, people get into car accidents and panic over 2 inches of snow.
In New Jersey, I park my car by e-brake sliding it to the opposite side of the street in 5 inches of snow.
(note this is only time I have done this and it was a great way to start my morning)
There is nothing needed for this sort of weather... No contingency, no equipment. Just drive slow and smart. Stay warm. You know, common sense.
