Not quite—this particular ice cap has been stable for many thousands of years, perhaps as much as 2.5 million, despite the fact that the rest of the ice sheet has melted away. As a nerd, and huge MST fan, it’s been very hard keeping quiet about this. My wife is a producer on the show, and I was fortunate to visit set and see some of the work in progress.
