I use FromScratch for non-committal mental dumps. If I want to keep it I’ll paste the text into nvAlt (which makes a new text file for each note, unlike databasey OS X Notes). Add Dropbox/equiv. for access from anywhere.

I’ve been in publishing for nearly 30 years and plain text scrubbing is not optional. It’s the great equalizer. Marked up email...what the fuck for? You’re going to rewrite your damn resume anyway, so keep and edit in plain text and format with saved styles as needed in processor of choice.
