Oh man, you didn’t check in to see how this insane stretch of a nothing-burger was getting roasted over at The Root? Cause it’s getting no traction there, and it feels like their readership should know.

So she entered a pageant and/or attended some weird debutante event. Is there any indication that she was aware it had a racist history? It may be hard for some on here to believe, but googling the damn thing wasn’t an option in 1999.

It’s also not a new story. I read an article on this (I want to say last year?) and she talked about how she came from a super privileged, wealthy background and her embarrassment over her participation in this ball. I’m trying to find it now but every page of google is dominated by this latest news.

It also says that this was a racist thing until the early 90’s (and then wasn’t?). So given that she’s 41 now, unless she was tuned into kkk goings on in her pre-teen years and was crowned kkk princess of St Louis while a freshman at Princeton at the age of 13 (possible) it doesn’t seem like there’s much here to link

There’s really not much of anything here. The headline and the beginning of the story made it sound like Erin from The Office was burning crosses and shit. Nope, she attended some corny debutante ball thing that has a racist past. Most of the US has a racist past.

Am I missing something? I see no connection other than the origins of the festival or party or whatever that would tie her to KKK leanings. If dumbass Black people wanted to join that bullshit, that’s of course their choice but I don’t see where she was personally connected to the KKK or even racism. I also think it’s

That’s actually an appropriate picture in more ways than one.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I know my biggest problem with it is that they don’t seem to know when enough is enough? Like, gunfight sequences are fine, but when I played through the original trilogy, I found myself in more than one instance exclaiming “wait, there’s EVEN MORE guys??”

And it wasn’t like, new enemy

Nintendo lawyers:

It’s one thing to host pirated copies of ROMs and such. That will already get you on Publisher’s radars. But, profit off them in any way, and it’s like bleeding in shark infested waters. They’ll stop that nonsense right quick!

I’m constantly amazed by Rockstar’s inability to make their controls responsive and fun. They actually double down on it in RDR2 for “art”’s sake, and it’s what holds me back from actually playing through it again

I don’t know why everyone harps on the Uncharted gunplay, it’s probably some of the best 3rd person gunplay out there.

The weird thing is that the Uncharted games aren’t just better animated than the Rockstar games, they also feel more responsive. It’s kind of weird how bad the Rockstar games are in that area. They look terrible, and they feel terrible. Usually, you pick one of the two: either you prioritize animation quality, or you

Lost Legacy is the best IMO. All the wide linear environments of the fourth game, lovable character of the second, and none of the pacing issues and the 11th hour mystical enemies.

I have failed to google it up, but there is a developer interview where they talk for about 30 minutes on how they really went crazy with various holds and blah blah blah.

No one is animated as well as nathan drake, and it drives me a little crazy.

RDR2 the dude runs with the same mechanical gate everywhere. It’s

It was. The author freely admits UC4 is their first Uncharted.

So all those animes where the main characters and his love interest were running late to school, and he offered her a ride on his bicycle so they’d get there on time, they were actually being criminals?

Witcher is so much easier to understand, though: “Guy hunts monsters and tries to find his daughter. Awesome story.”
