From everything I have read the Prius does not have a tow rating, at least in the US. I would be careful about towing with it if you ever get in an accident.

I just don’t know how she sees over the hood at all.

Small girl that drives a 6" lifted F-350 dually on 35" mud tires. Yeah, that was a great choice...

Dealing with drunk people is not fun. Back in the day, working at a gas station, refused to sell alcohol to someone clearly intoxicated and they almost threw a six pack of bottles at my head.

Right, my mistake on thinking it was highway vs combined. However, outside of EV’s there’s not much from any domestic automaker that gets over 30 MPG combined except one or two models and some hybrids.

We have been hearing this for a number of years and, while I do think it will go up at some point in the future, tons of people have bought and sold vehicles in the time it’s been since people have been warning about coming gas prices.

Jeep Cherokee, Compass, Renegade, and Ram 1500 Ecodiesel all do. If you include exactly 30 MPG you also get the FIAT 500X and Chrysler 300. Not saying it’s great, but it is more than is usually reported since everyone likes to focus on MORE POWAHH!!

“I live my life a quarter mile at a time mailbox to mailbox.”

Unless you have stats to back that up, it’s just conjecture, just like everyone else who claims the same. As for renting, it would cost me a fortune if I had to rent every time I needed a pickup.

Man do you have egg (yolk) on your face.

You see no need for a pickup (or apparently for anything other than a Volvo or VW) so no one else could possibly need one right? Also, where are the stats behind “lifted vehicles never see off-road use”? Honestly, can anyone point to any stats of this other than, “I saw a lifted truck sitting in the grocery store

What are we comparing here when we say “bigger”? I believe (I could be wrong) that I can see better out of my 2019 F150 than I could the 1995 I drove. Also, the braking distance is about the same between the two, as well as overall packaging (slight differences). In any emergency maneuver, I feel the newer truck will

Haha “plausible-sounding rationalizations”. At least you can admit why you want one.

Have you driven a small truck with a manual? They’re not fun. What’s wrong with an auto?

I’m sure going diagonal will help but depends on how many people you have in there.

Run AC tubing from one of the front vents directly through that window into the bed, problem solved!

Ford’s already got a commercial showing the bed in use, carrying such decadent materials as “wood,” which recently seems to be something you might want to carry in an armored truck, based on the cost:

I’ve heard it’s actually easier to get a bill through Congress...

It doesn’t work if you’re sitting in traffic. Not to mention, I tried to air it out afterwards and you could still smell it to the point of getting a headache.

Lots of reasons to have this over a wagon, for certain people. I love my wife’s wagon but the back is honestly pretty small. You can’t fit any bikes in it and definitely don’t want to go on a run for any gas in jugs as you’ll pass out (and then have the wife hit you the next time she drives it). It is covered which is
