Damn, I might get that if I slow down but highway traffic in FL moves along pretty quick. I did have one “major” repair so far but it was for the A/C condensor that started leaking and I had to replace it. Other than that, two batteries, one lower ball joint, and the sway bar end links it’s been pretty well held

ALL of the lifters collapsed? That seems very odd to all happen at the same time. Isn’t that like having all four wheel bearings fail at the same time?

I don’t blame you for leaving it off if you don’t see gains. I sometimes see a couple MPG better on the highway, depends on the speed and wind for the day.

Mine always shows V4 or V8 no matter what screen you are on, but it’s a 2014 (newer style).

My Silverado with AFM has been going for 90k miles so far with not a single issue. I barely notice when it switches between 4 and 8 cylinders but it definitely does help fuel mileage. I have seen tons of people complaining that issues would come up but I haven’t actually seen anyone with issues so far.

Wow, that is wild!

Damn, that is some good ROI!! 100k miles for $3,500 is not a bad proposition, assuming you didn’t have to put a ton in for repairs/replacement parts.

Is it just me or have grocery prices been going up?

I wasn’t worried about the test except for the parallel parking part. I practiced for a few hours until I could absolutely nail it. During the test the instructor pointed to a car down the road and said, parallel park behind that car. I looked and the car was 2/3rds onto the sidewalk. All of that practice and I

You had me sold until I heard the engine :(

Have you come up with a proposal to study this and see if it’s effective?

I wish it was that easy. I’ve emailed ~20 dealerships for quotes and did not get a single one. I worked for quite awhile to get itemized quotes with numbers and told them I was ready to buy but no one wanted to deal unless I came in. They then called me/emailed me dozens of times to try and get me to come in without

No, this one is specific to the seat belt. I know because it beeps in time with the passenger seat belt warning light, which is overhead where your sunroof controls are normally located. So every time I have a passenger in my truck it starts beeping and I look everywhere to try and figure out what it is until I

Is it only my vehicle that starts loudly beeping at you as soon as a passenger gets in the seat. It doesn’t matter if you are parked with the e-brake on, it will start yelling at you as soon as they sit down.

Wow, original owner 87. That’s dedication!

In a normal car a battery is being charged 100% of the time the engine is running. In this car, when you’re driving in all electric mode it’s draining the battery and not recharging it.

I figured they had some safeguard but that would mean you could never fully utilize the full battery. Also, I thought the car could run full electric under 25 MPH. It’s certainly an edge case, but it’s not impossible by any means.

300 miles while towing a trailer. But then I would need to use a generator to charge it while I’m out in a field in the middle of nowhere for the return trip home. I do this about 15-20 times a year.

So, what happens if you pull into a parking spot with an empty battery? You’re stuck until you recharge it?

Once had a dealership take a copy of my license for a test drive. I forgot they had it and test drove and left the dealership and they specifically “forgot” to give my license back so I would have to return. I was pissed I had to drive an hour back to the dealership and will never do business there again.
